Good stuff!

Saw some info yesterday on the new FR 104 poof offering that will be released at the end of the month in KY. They indicated that it will be released in other markets soon and will be offered in six different recipes.

I've only begun my journey into bourbon as I prefer scotch. First time I had ER thought it was pretty good, but as I have broadened my bourbon experience, this is not nearly as good as EW and others .... Jury is still out on Weller.

Have you tried Tennessee whisky?George Dickel #12 IMO is an excellent scotch crossover whisky......or GD Hand Selected Barrel if ya want to spend a little more.

Just got back from a long weekend on the Bourbon trail
So needless to say my list would be WAY TOO LONG to list even if I remembered all of them.
But the top 3 from this weekend are as follows
1. George T. Stagg 2018 BTAC
2. Elijah Craig 18yr
3. 4R Brent Elliott selection

Best part of the weekend was getting a tour from Freddie Johnson at Buffalo Trace and him personally giving me an "A" Blanton's topper!

Just FYI if you don't know who he is watch the documentary "Neat" and you surely will afterwards

Larceny Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Sweetness is odd that it's 92 proof, wan't expecting it to be so sweet and smooth. At 90+ proof bourbon usually has a higher rye content and is spicier.

Good to know, haven't had a wheated bourbon before

Bushmills Black Bush - decent Irish for a decent price, actually got some taste to it.

If you like Irish whisky, give the Bushmill's 16 single malt a try. They also offer a 10 and 21. I have had the 21 but not the 10. The 21 is good but don't know if it is worth the price difference over the 16.

Smooth Ambler Contradiction

A wheater blend......taking a bit to get use to it, but it seems having the bottle open for a few weeks has helped it.

First time with this. Pretty tasty. For under $17, out the door, I should get a couple more bottles.

Awesome good to know. Tried it on a whim, I usually prefer scotch.

JP Wisers Canadian Rye.
Expected it to be rot gut, I'm pleasantly surprised. Not like a fine American rye, but at a little over 15 bucks for a bottle not BAD.
At 15 bucks I expect something I would use to clean grease with or sterilize a scalpel and forceps in a bad action movie.

Only released in certain states KY, TX, GA, CA, NY......so unless I go to GA I won't find any.

I heard retail is around $60 and tbh I can get 4RBP store picks around $60 to $70 ....... don't know if I'll be searching at that price for SB
