Rick is DA BEST!

my pick, Keegan Bradley, came in last in the Masters contest, meaning I was the winner of the loser bracket...or something like that. Local AZ fare was what the prize was to be.

Arrived today, I opened the box and read the nice hand written note from Rick. In it he correctly noted that he was aware I have not been smoking as much so he thought he would send something "much more useful". Followed by my personal fave..."HA!"

Inside the box was a well wrapped cube shaped object. Inside the paper...a clear acrylic cube containing a scorpion! Awesome or what?

Rick, you absolutely made my day. Caren came out to see what had me laughing so hard, took a look, shrugged, and went back to her shows.

So, I'm not a country boy and need some help. Do I boil it in the acrylic or do I crack it open and eat it sushi style?

HA!!

I love it, this will not end up tossed in a drawer with random stuff. I'm thinking it is mantle worthy at least.

Brother Rick, as always I greatly appreciate knowing you and all you do around here.

Thanks for a great contest.

Frank

That must be Rick’s signature swag, I got the circular paperweight version as part of his “2017 DED End” OpFTH prize.

I keep it on our “buffet” counter, near where I put my wallet, keys and loose change.

They do crawl around at night. Wife stepped on one when she got out of bed a few years ago. Only lasts about 24 hours unless you are allergic.

as far as I know from my extensive religious studies (wikipedia), certain locusts are the only Kosher insects...the scorpion shall not be consumed at this evening's seder
