JimmyCT- a blast from the past. Remember when he was caught answering math questions by copying formulas from a website? What a piece of work he was.

My guess is the homeless population filed a report with their union rep, and Victor refused to pay reparations for his transgressions.

SF and CA bashing dates way back...it's a badge of honor...although values may have dipped from a peak, they are still among the highest in the world...and would have to drop precipitously and for a long time to fall to the national average...

SF has been and still is a world class city...

California is the 6th biggest economy in the world, exceeding most nations...

it's becoming a con dream... wealthy people moving in, pushing poor people out...

haters will hate...haven't visited any place I'd rather call home...

great year-round weather, variety of landscapes - from the beaches to the mountains to the desert all in one day, cuisine, high tech side by side with agriculture...people from all over the world...world class universities attracting smart innovative people from everywhere...great medical facilities...entertainment choices that run the gamut...corporate conglomerate HQ's mixed in with mom and pop businesses...huge traffic in harbors and intn'l airports...

All true...
I moved to the Bay Area in 74, and I'd go to the City quite a bit in the 70s, until I moved to Santa Cruz in 79, when my visits to the City became less frequent.....typically a ball game, or concert, or to go hang with a few friends I knew that lived there. Still, I've seen a lot of change

San Francisco simply aint what it used to be imo............there is so much ugliness.
But guess what the fuq!

Same can be said about Portland, Medford, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles, Oceanside, Salinas, Santa Cruz, and so on.
That's simply how it is now.....it's the new norm.....and there ain't no simple fixes on the immediate horizon.

Welcome to 2019.

I was born and grew up in California except for a few years in La Paz, Baja California, Mexico. It might be a better place if all the transplants from other states left, Macs excepted, but it'll never happen. I have family alive and buried in California so I'll visit, but never live there.

I haven't been to San Francisco since '95, so it's difficult to comment, but I always loved that city.

And upon reflection, I can say "holy sheet, has it really been that long?"
