I think it's a result of the news that Mueller says Barr's summary mislead the country

I didn’t think it was possible to make Eric Holder look like he has integrity.

I’m still trying to figure out if Holders actions were right or Barr’s are wrong. I understand politicians saying and supporting absurd things with a straight face but I’m always amazed when the common joes buy in to it based on the red team or blue team. It’s especially interesting when they believe they are being logical or neutral.

If this was holder I’d be worried but since it’s not it’s ok. WTF’s wrong with folks, this is not ok. And yes somebody else did something bad too. look shiny.

“Has the president or anyone at the White House ever asked or suggested that you open an investigation of anyone?”

“Um … uh … I wouldn’t … I wouldn’t … uh … ”

“Yes or no?”

“The president or anybody else … ”

“Seems you’d remember something like that and be able to tell us,”

“Yeah, but I’m trying to grapple with the word suggest, There have been discussions of matters out there that they have not asked me to open an investigation―”

“Perhaps they’ve suggested?”

“I don’t know. I wouldn’t say suggest ―”

“Hinted?”

“I don’t know,”

“Inferred?”

“You don’t know,”

“No,”

I’m pretty sure Mueller never even read the snitty letter his staffer wrote that he signed and sent to Barr. And Barr had no clue if mueller agreed with his summary or not. In related news pigs can fly. And folks will believe this crap because they want to.

Barr has zero credibility.

Didn't like Holders actions much, like Barrs even less.
Attorney Generals are supposed to work for the people, not the president.

Boy it’s nice having a POTUS that doesn’t claim executive privilege to keep the AG from answering questions.

What the hell is the difference. Obama/Holder were wrong. So is Barr.

Yup. I’m not sure how lying is better and think refusing to show up is worse. Exerting executive privilege without actually exerting executive privilege seems to be the new vogue.

Doing the same or worse than the person you dislike doesn’t make one good.

I think they actually have 3 other listeners.... Hillary, Al Gore and Drafter.

I actually listen to a couple shows on NPR. One has helped me discover several musicians I'd not considered previously like toots and the maytals, taj mahal and got me interested in sun records....

David

believe it or not, DMV said he's a fan.
Mostly weekends for Waiit Wait Don't Tell Me or whatever those panel shows are called (usually funny) and love the old Click and Clack Car Talk call in segments.
News a few mornings or afternoons a week. Catch BBC here and there.

I discovered Taj after watching a children's cartoon called peep and the big wide world, narrated by Joan cusak... True story...

I had actually seen him sing with the Stones when I saw them in Chicago but didn't pay much attention. Was listening to cypress avenue on NPR a few years later and "discovered" him. Now I've seen him several times.

toots and the maytals have a nice album called true love I discovered there too. features tons of great musicians on it. it got me started on the rest of their catalog.

edit to add:

True Love is an album by Toots & the Maytals. It is a collection of their classics re-recorded with guest artists including Willie Nelson, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Trey Anastasio, No Doubt, Ben Harper, Bonnie Raitt, Manu Chao, The Roots, Ryan Adams, Keith Richards, and The Skatalites. The album was produced and conceived by Richard Feldman and released on the V2 label.

True Love won the 2004 Grammy award for Best Reggae Album.

for some reason I love the willie nelson song

R.E #4 not exactly what he said....the context of his findings is what he was having his tirade about (leaking a fu$$$ng letter to WaPo🤣)

He stated that Barr was accurate with his report and hadn’t lied. It was the context of his findings........he’s really proud of the sandcastle he built.

Here you go Frank.

As we stated in our meeting of March 5 and reiterated to the Department early in the afternoon of March 24, the introductions and executive summaries of our two-volume report accurately summarize this Office's work and conclusions. The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office's work and conclusions. We communicated that concern to the Department on the morning of March 25. There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations. See Department of Justice, Press Release (May 17, 2017).

While we understand that the Department is reviewing the full report to determine what is appropriate for public release -- a process that our Office is working with you to complete -- that process need not delay release of the enclosed materials. Release at this time would alleviate the misunderstandings that have arisen and would answer congressional and public questions about the nature and outcome of our investigation. It would also accord with the standard for public release of notifications to Congress cited in your letter. See 28 C.F.R. 609(c) ("the Attorney General may determine that public release" of congressional notifications "would be in the public interest.").

That's it. Mueller then signed his name.

Mueller also pointed out there were at least 10 instances that he deferred on determining were offenses for indictment...in large part to his understanding that the Justice Dept viewed that a sitting President could not be indicted.

He was clear that his findings should not be construed as exoneration, despite announcements that this had happened.

He left any further decisions to proceed or not to the one body of government that could (or not) move forward...Congress.
