I'm sorry Frankie T, but I literally laughed out loud!

SOB - I'm a whiteycracker my damn self. Wife is Filipina, obviously son is a mix, my sister's hubby is Puerto Rican, so the kids are a mix, my other sister had a baby girl with a brother, so she's a mix, and my sister's half hispanic step-daughter is married to a brother so their kids are mixed.

That's called honey bunches of oats, Frank... what ain't fruits and nuts... is flakes.

The first black person I knew was my first football coach, the second one was the head coach of the younger Pop Warner team. John, my coach, played at Michigan State under Duffy Daughtery, had a tryout with the Detroit Lions and had a Masters in Social Work. Emery, the other coach, played running back for UH. I think he had his MSW too. I respected the heck out of those two...still do.

In high school I was exposed to ethnic differences. Until then I thought all white people (“haoles”) were one and the same. Never heard the term “cracker” until 10 years ago. Yah, pretty sheltered here in Hawaii. Gonz

Cattle herders of the open range in the South (primarily Florida) used whips and were nicknamed by Yankees who wrote about the colorful characters living tough lives in the scrub.

It was never much used by blacks as a derogatory term for whites until very recent times. Ironically a true cracker is proud of the name and not offended......unless it comes from some self important Yankee transplant.

You need to be at least two generations born here to truly claim the title interestingly, there was nothing about the original use of the term that distinguished race or ethnicity - as a black or Floridano could be a Cracker too, though it was mostly a white moniker since northerners thought rural whites needed a nickname.

it was more cultural. Rural, uneducated, proud, independent, hardworking, poor, suspicious of fancy pants.

A Florida cracker is rare since today most people claim to be from somewhere else and live in a city or do not work the land.

For those that do not know the above definition, there is a variation between Common Cracker and True Cracker. It starts becoming an insult when it becomes DumAzz Cracker.

I'm disturbed by the rampant utilization of the Polack joke. It is inappropriate to judge the intelligence of a person by their ethnicity and makes my Polish percentage cry.

However, my Irish and German parts think that chit is funny as hel and are drinking beer and whiskey while laughing their azzes off

Beer

I'm offended when someone says "Pull My Finger"...it's not funny anymore, but I always pull their finger and smile, but deep down inside I'm hoping they POOP their pants....Applause d'oh!

I've been thinking... and that's dangerous... but what if ol' whiteycracker here had the opposite screen name of blackyn***er?

Personally, I find the humor in his name and appreciate that it was given by black coworkers (in a friendly manner, I'm sure). But I have to assume if it was the other way around, people's heads would assplode.

Just an observation. I am in no way offended, as all of you who know me probably guessed.

there was some faux outrage for laughs, and more than one suggestion that he was really bloodyspaniard.
But, yeah, no one cared.

In fact, he has carved out a cool niche.

In America, the word n*gger carries a great deal of negative connotation, and historically, a lot of hate....

Yes, because the term was overused by no talent urban singers during the Bling Rap era.

Not sure if the slur, or lack of musical talent was less offensive.

How'd you find out?? Tiger once told me that he never talks about golf while having sex. However, contractually Tiger was obligated to talk about Nike, Gatorade and American Express.
