Curious if anyone knows if CigarBid ever carries Rocky Patel Twenthieth Anniversary Natural cigars? I am now just getting back into cigar smoking after probably 2 years of being away.

That was always one of my favorites.

Oh brother... Before the onslaught begins, I just want you to know it's not you, it's them. Not enough hugs or something. At least you didn't ask about Gurkhas, so you have that going for you...

five years since we last heard from you...FIVE YEARS!

and you come in all casual-like as if you just walked the dog.

5 years, jobin...you never wrote, you never called, your mother and I were worried sick!
do you have any idea what you put her through? do you even care?

why do I even bother?

WAIT - hold everything!
Giving “jobs” in Seattle???

Damn man, we had no idea the level of desperation you have sunk to!!!
All you had to do is get in touch with mom, dad, me, or any of us, and we would have done our best to help you out.
You know that!!!

Of course, you were always stubborn that way. Too proud to ask for anything.
But you should have contacted us way before any of this happened!

We just figured that you were working your way through things and would contact us once you got established.
This is horrible! Mom’s is definitely not gonna like hearing this one…

Just get back home, but for gawd’s sake, make sure stop at the clinic and get disinfected first!

My God, listen to you pontificate, you presumptuous palavering ponce. Perhaps the man's name is Job. You know, like the Bible, patient dude, etc. Then again, from what I've seen, it is not surprising in the least that your mind went RIGHT TO the worst possible interpretation. Go back to making jokes about pic posts that most people will misunderstand. Leave the comedy to us professionals.

Yeah, well, my health has gone to hell, I'm blind in one eye after a doctor misdiagnosed an eye problem, and I didn't want to be a downer. Plus, me going to the Cbid site is like walking Keith Richards through an opium den, so....had to stand up for a neighbor in Seattle, though. Represent, yo. Besides, I think you might need me some day. I may be the only person alive who has actually met both you and Adroomi. Sort of makes me the forum unicorn.

... you're bi and into casual threesomes with a committed couple?

BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

But fortunately, most of the Adroomi-is-Victor-flat-earthers have gone... oddly around the same time you disappeared.
Hang on....

..were you pumping up a conspiracy theory just to increase your value to the forum?

Anyway... whether you're trolling for a couple for casual sex, or trying to trump up more conspiracy theories.... it's good to see you back. Sorry to hear you're blind in one eye (maybe make sure the uglier partner is in that peripheral vision)....that sucks azz.

What was the story on the cigar shop you were trying to run on the island?

LOL. I knew I was in for trouble on the unicorn thing. Started to predict it, then erased that so it could develop in an organic fashion. The cigar shop did not go well. Probably because I was struggling with health problems so much that I couldn't be there. My wife gamely held on and did her best, but you know it's better to walk into a shpo when someone familiar with the product is working. My wife tried a mild smoke at a Cfest one year. She enjoyed the time there, the events, and especially the people, but doesn't dig cigars herself (she did buy me a $400 animal-branded air filter so I could smoke in my corner office inside the house, however, and she and the filter are both top-notch). Don't want to say the filter name as I don't know if CI/Cbid/Etc. competes, but if you have the coin, you might want to hop over to the jungle and get one. They are amazing.

Keeping my license to practice law active just in case I manage to get the health straightened out enough to be able to return. It's been 9 years since things started spiraling, but I'm 55 and not yet ready to throw in the towel. Fortunately, after quite a struggle, I was able to qualify for Social Security. Warning: to those yet to reach it, prepare for hand-to-wallet combat any time you need to call on your fairly expensive Medicare Advantage insurance (won't say the name, but it rhymes with Schmegence). Cripes, maybe covers half my Rx's and I'm allergic to most meds, Rx and OTC, then I get a measles booster (I got one as a kid when the vaccines were pretty weak), and they make me cover it up front at $173.50 then reimburse me. WTF? You a-holes KNOW that I am on a fixed income...

Wait a minute, I seemed to have digressed a bit.

As for the disappearances, I was golfing that day with OJ. I mean, I demand to speak with a lawyer.

I knew you'd say that. :)P~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm afraid to look up Ewok. I literally would have rather spent the last few years in prison if it meant I'd be healthy (even after seeing what jails and prison actually look like inside--just as a visitor as part of my work, before anyone runs with that one). At least I'm finding out ways to work around and with it. I've figured out a few things that make me sick, however, so perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel one day. Damn, I sure miss court rooms and trials. Don't miss the hurt of victimized persons nor the occasional difficult client, but nothing ever challenged me like trials. At least I got to try nearly 150 of them. Enjoy the journey, don't mourn the ending of the journey right? Ironically, I get summonsed about every other year for jury duty, which I really do want to serve. I've been on this side of the door so damned many times, never on the other side. Wife never gets summonsed.

Man, back one day and I've massively hijacked a thread. Guess the original me is still in here somewhere. My apologies to the OP.

'sup, Drafter? Think I better start a new thread just to give the OP some relief. Wait...so I'm not crowding...shiat, there isn't a safe way to say it around here, is there?

For the OP, I don't follow the lots (and even if I did, I don't dare say so, as Mrs. Pacman owns a sidearm and, at this point, that would likely qualify as justifiable homicide if she shot me over more cigar purchases). Not the same smoke, but I've always found the RP Decade Cameroon and 2003 Vintage Cameroon to have a nicely-balanced medium body and touch of baking spices while providing a decent amount of complexity. If you cannot find the 20th here, I'd recommend at least picking up a single or two. I'd offer to send you some, but I've got to reorganize a bunch of stuff and don't know where mine are right now. I realize RP has come under attack here (whether fairly or not), but I always liked some of his earlier stuff and am not as up-to-speed on more recent efforts.

Why you sloppy knock-kneed stink-fisted neanderthal!
You attack me, yet there’s a suffering destitute brother in your midst, and you chose to ignore him?
In your neck of the woods, yet you never paid him a visit?
A post for a Rocky Patel Twentieth Anniversary Natural is an obvious cry for help.
Clear as day, but you’re too damn stubborn to acknowledge it.
You react in anger, when it is compassion that is needed.

Now go see him, and tell him mama loves him...

Thank you. Once in a while I manage to utilize something obscure. Back was bothering me, so I took a CBD cap. New packaging, existing brand of CBD. Original helped my back and knees a bit. New one, I'm like WTF, I have a weed allergy now? I checked, new formulation contains willow bark. Sonofaboof...that's related to aspirin, which I cannot take due to an allergy to same. Swapped it out for jellies that are safe for me to take. That's about 1 in 10,000 times. Most of what I seem to retain is most useful watching "Jeopardy!" or to simply annoy people. I excel at the latter.

If you have pain, you ought to research turmeric. It's a wonder supplement that does many things. Best taken with black pepper or its extract (piperine) which increases absorption of the turmeric greatly. Taking turmeric without it is wasting most of your money. As always, SPEAK WITH YOUR DOCTOR FIRST, especially because turmeric is a bad idea for people on certain medications, including (but not limited to) blood thinners.

Do some internet searches, read up, then talk to your doctor. If you're able to take it, it may help your pain (and possibly other problems) significantly.
