Agreed! Better than expected as Costner can really screw up a movie (e.g. The Untouchables) .d'oh!

Excellent scenery...
Great cars and wardrobe...
Period firepower/ weapons were right on target...
Period products and packaging spot on...even the Laudanum
bottle was correct...
Telephone poles were correct..
Good writing...kinda had a little Clint Eastwood message like "the unforgiven" goin' on...
