...a lobster on her face.

This is one of 2 rabbits Mrs. Pacman got earlier this year. This is a baby pic about four months ago. I have an iPhone so old that it's made of stone and uses a sun dial to show the time, so the camera quality on my phone isn't great, and I'm not digging out my old K1000 (I did not take this pic). I'll try to get more recent pics of the rabbits, but this rabbit "Feffer" now looks just like a bigger version of this pic. Her sister, "Hoss", is all black and I'm guessing half lop, as Hoss's right ear will not stand up on its own. Hoss can perk up the right ear for cleaning or being outside in a pen, where many animals in the neighborhood find rabbit delish, hence the outdoor pen, but otherwise that right ear is listening for worms.

So we have one bunny that is hopelessly cute, all-black with one lazy ear, and the other has a damned lobster on her face. BTW, we settled on the disturbing bifurcated German-theme nomenclature after I got overruled on my preferred name for this rabbit, Lobby McLobsterface.

Thanks. Does Bloody have a thing against rabbits? Been so long since I've read his posts. Oh well, we have 24/7 armed security around here and the local deer have been stomping cats, dogs, people, etc., so I think we're protected inside and out. The deer lounge and graze on our lot day and night.

Years ago, my mom got two cute little rabbits as well.
They got to be mammoth size in no time at all.
Absolute eating and schitting machines.
Pellet poop all over the fuquin place.

ENJOY!

This isn't our first rabbit rodeo. When I was a kid, each of my brothers had a rabbit (I had a pet chicken whom we cared for along side the other pets; chicken was a great pet). Mrs. Pacman previously had two rabbits here as well. We have an indoor pen, outdoor hutches, homemade portable outdoor pen for them to run outside and have cover from eagles, hawks, etc., and I converted a large bird cage to what we call Bunny Townhouse (tall cage; I built ramps and floors, each with rails for protection). We've seen those big beast rabbits at the fair...want no part of that. These are about 13 weeks old now, so near full-grown, very reasonable size. They'll put on a bit more size in the next couple of months, then maybe a little weight as they age. We've planned for that in all of the structures.

But yeah...I had pet guinea pigs years ago. Smaller rodents with much smaller ears, and a bit louder (Feffer is starting to get pretty vocal). Much easier to care for, feed, house, etc. However, with everything my wife has been through with me and in general, I wouldn't say "no" even if it were my place to say so, which it is not. She started to want to have rabbits as pets again. She provides outstanding care for her birds and her rabbits. And me. If the birds or bunnies ever learn to cook, do dishes and kill spiders, I'm out of a job and living in a van down by the river.

We are well-fortified here. I can't see well, but with a 12 gauge, that's not so much of a problem (Mrs. Pacman knows the safe word). Then there's the attack parrots. The claws on the rabbits will slice anyone not wearing welding gloves. Then outside of that, we have a perimeter of crazy, aggressive deer, and those deer are not afraid of anyone. Not a lot of deer, pretty much ALL of them. And just to make things interesting, the county removed about 60% of the road up the street and put in a garden. I **** you not. We're still working to reverse that last thing, but it makes getting here tougher.

I would have said it looks like a scorpion. You could have given it a tough name like Stinger!

Sounds like you're running yourself a pet resort compound.
Quite a lifestyle fer those little varmints...

Sounds like you're out in the boonies. Nice!

#9 Polite golf clap for being the first to post that. Nice catch. I have a warped sense of humor, and a lot of German and Austrian blood. My wife's sense of humor has warped quite a bit since meeting me, so she went along.

#10 Well, I didn't see that before, but yeah. Wouldn't work on the name, however. Mrs. Pacman is seriously afraid of spiders. One item on a very short list of why she's kept me around. I don't think anything in the arachnid family would go over well with her. Now if the folks at Camacho want to talk advertising money and making the rabbit part of an ad campaign, we'd be totally open to discussions.

#11 Why, I've got a good mind to join a club and beat you over the head with it. But, yeah.

#12 We are in a rural area. Island a dozen miles or so north of Seattle. Close enough for the cool stuff, but far enough away that the deer outnumber the people around here. Nearest street light is almost a mile away, and when the nighttime wildlife are quiet, it's dead still some nights. Lots of trees and fresh air, nice views and amazing sunsets. Just the place for a sequel to "We Bought a Zoo".

Funny, Mrs. Pacman and I discussed several names. None of the recent suggestions that seem most likely to end up in a Freudian shrink's office were among the names. I'd point out that the rabbits belong to an armed woman who lives with a crazy person, but I just found out Feffer's grandfather is this same rabbit from this movie. Just remember, that rabbit's dynamite; so unless you possess the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, I warned you, I warned you...
