Noob/Vet trade with AKDave

What a wonderful welcome home from my trip to Hawaii.

First off...the swag. Immediately on opening I see the Copper River Smoked Sockeye Salmon box. Can’t wait to try it. Then there is a little jar of Sockeye Salmon “sticks” in salt water. I might have to work up some courage for these. Another jar with brown liquid in it was wrapped pretty securely. In an email Dave stated that it is distilled and barrel aged bourbon. Smells pretty potent.

List of Alaskan meat he sent:
Trail Sticks (with buffalo added)
Reindeer Meat jerky x2 from Indian Valley Alaska
Teriyaki Sticks with Caibou meat
Alaskan Salmon jerky x2
Alaskan-Siberian Brand sausage with Caribou added
Another package of “sticks”...label is missing and it doesn’t look like any of the others. Going to be a mystery

More swag....an Ulu knife that he put BOTL on it. The colored wood that the handle and stand are made of looks pretty cool. A small copper colored metal Alaskan shot glass.

On to the cigars. Pretty sure Dave looked at my posts and saw a lot of what I like. (Plus some never hands that he found that he likes.)
Aladino Corojo Reserva rob
Illusione 88
Illusione Epernay
Illusione CG4
Illusione Oneoff nh
Casa Fernandez Aganorsa Leaf Habano nh
Laranja Escuro nh
Hecho en Fume D’Amour Clementes
AF Añejo (46 I think) yummmmmmmm
La Galera El Lector toro nh
La Unica #500 Dom Primeros nh (looks rustic and gnarly)
PAN 1964...the little short one 😃
Partagas Serie E #2 cc
RyJ wide Churchill cc
Monte #2 cc (one of my all time favs)
MUWAT Baitfish x5
20 great cigars in a Snapware tupperware container.

AKDave, you did a fantastic job. Now sit back and hold your breath. It won’t be CB crazy, but I will definitely make it a very good trade.

Well done. Like I stated....mine should go out Fri or Sat.

Some David on David violence! Spanking Frying pan

That's a darn good whacking' by a "nOOb" (...have my doubts if he's as nOObie as he claims to be...).

The Vet side of the trade should be interesting.... Whistle

The bourbon is around 120 proof and pretty smooth for being as potent as it is. Most people find it perfect with a rock or two. Enjoy David.

I bought my first cigar about 2 years ago and my first humidor (50 count) in March 2018. Upgraded to a end table humidor by August 2018 and just finished building the gun cabinet humidor about a month ago. So yeah probably still a noob but I learn pretty fast.

Box is sealed and ready to go. It will go out tomorrow. Not sure how long it takes to get to the Arctic circle (or close to).

I didn’t put a note in it. So, you will need to do some research on some of the cigars. There are some nicely aged ones in there.

Enjoy.

Oh, the one set of 5 cigars (norteño, etc) is the one for the 13 run contest.

So if I can extrapolate here,
next year you're going to build an actual full size church/humidor for the storage and worship of cigars.

I will be making the trip up there for that

I like the way you think, I'll look to get the land purchased by the end of the summer and building plans done over the winter so I can break ground next spring. Mother always told me I needed to have goals...….

While we're waiting for AKDave to get the church set up,
we're gonna have dispersed services.

We've already been worshipping... Each weekend.
Even during the week for those pious types.

Oh yeah, Cigar Church...

All welcome to attend.
(Even NapalmMan, just don't mention the word "church" around him)
