I'm always late to the party, but got a couple boxes as long as they're giving an extra 10% on two or more.

Thanks for the tip John!

I'm thinking, maybe I should have tried to get my "banker" to see the financial advantage of the 10% discount if I bought TWO boxes . . . but that would have been pressing my luck, and I want to keep in her good graces for any future "sales" that may surface.

Glad you got in on this. ThumpUp

They are REALLY good after a year of rest. I have about five left from last year's box and they are superb.

Yeah Paul . . . I really missed the boat on this one. It will be a while before we see THAT deal again.

I thought I had more aged CT's laying around. Guess I should have kept a better count of how many I was gifting. d'oh!
No biggie. I've got PLENTY of other good aged stuff to get me by. I'll just save the 5 CT's for special occasions.

Jespear,
thank you much for the heads up. Just got back home today and there they sat looking so pretty and begging me to light one up, but 3am is a little early, or late?

looking forward to smoking one today and let rest continue to rest. Again, greatly appreciated.

I'm glad so many of my fellow BOTL could take advantage of this.
I have passed them in quite a few raok's, pib's, trades, etc, over the years, and I can think of only one time that they got an
unfavorable review. (The brother admitted that he was not a big maduro fan to begin with. )
Hopefully you'll like them as much as most of the guys who have tried them.

Thanks again jespear.

Mine showed up yesterday. They smell heavenly- I don't know if I can wait a year for them to rest before I burn them.

So ok, you talked me in to it, I'll have ONE now and see how they progress. Ok, maybe two... or three... but really, four is my limit for now.

Then the rest can be scheduled out for tasting as they progress.

The nose is outstanding already, the palate is still a little coarse. Gonna be really good with some rest.

Thought i would revive this thread for a quick note. You know where to go, then go for the sampler box instead. if you were to get 5 samplers would equal a full box and you get 5 of each vitola. The best part is that it is a little lower than last time getting a box. Either way your choice. if you get more than 1 you get a discount of almost $2 off each one

Hope i am not breaking any rules with anything.

I got a couple of the samplers last time they were on sale and Jespear filled me in. Haven't tried one yet but honestly the churchill size may sit for a good bit because it is not a cigar I will grab often because of the amount of time it takes me to smoke one. That would be the only plus probably to buying a box is that you get a specific size that you enjoy the most. The sampler boxes do look pretty nice to.

Not quite, Roger.
5 x 4 = 20
A box has 25.
But STILL a good deal.
Thanks for the heads-up. I had a VERY busy weekend and would have missed it had you not PM'd me.

Ummm.... Ummm, ...... Guess late night math for me is no bueno!

Thanks for that catch there. Still about 4.10 a stick, about .60 more than the box sale. Still, to me those are well worth that price.

Amy who, hope it helped some of you out and not just myself.
