Spent another 4 hours completing the fence staining. Done.

Now I can do what I really wanted to do today! Nothing.

Tough to do that 2 days in a row. I'ze gettin' old, yo.

Up early, fish all day, scrub the boat, flush the engine... clean the fish... I'm tired by the end of the day.

Another ruff day.. started with a funeral for a friend... nice service and a mention of the great potato war a couple years ago at da vfw...
we were there for steak night and i was sitting there minding my own bidness when Gene chunks his baked potato at Tom... this led to the potato war... before i knew it there was half a dozen people and potatoes being chunked around the bar and escalated into the parking lot... it was a good night...
Later my puppy-dog bailed off my golfcar and i trapped her paw under the back wheel when i hit da brake... scared the hell out of me.. wife took her to da vet and luckily nothing is broken.. i was freaking tho...
Gonna try to drink some beers and think of nothing for a while... Mellow

Good god, just got in from mountain biking the glacial hills near me. Talk about excessive heat!!! I wish Tony had given some kind of warning. Spent about an hour and a half pedaling my azz off to get my cardio in, cause it would kill me to do it indoors on a monotonous machine.

Ends up, might just kill me doing it outside in this kind of heat and humidity. Took a cool shower and checked the weather to find this story: "Mitch Petrus, who played three seasons in the National Football League, passed away on Thursday night at the age of 32. Petrus died at 10:45 p.m. after being taken to Baptist Health Medical Center-North Little Rock, according to Pulaski County Coroner Gerone Hobbs. The official cause of death was determined to be heat stroke."

Maybe I should reconsider my insistence on the outdoors regardless of conditions. The whole time I was on the trails, only came across one other *"hardy individual"(*idiot just like me)

Gummy, sorry to hear about the wife's layoff. Glad you are in a position to deal with it. Hopefully, this leads to a more rewarding and fulfilling position for her in the future...

Sorry about your friend Drafter

So, um... yesterday when we got to the boat ramp I opened my storage locker on the boat and noticed my trolling lures box was not there... and then it occured to me that I left it on the transom. d'oh!

At freeway speed that box and the $200 worth of lures inside it flew the coop.

I think I spent a little over that replacing it all today.

My name is Shawn... and I am addicted to fishing.

Hello Shawn. We’re here to support you. You’re addiction is completely admirable. I’ve learned to place my ignition keys on anything I place on top of my vehicle. I’ve lost an irreplaceable 50’s bean bag ashtray and an ideal bobken by not double checking. We only hope to help...

Heading out to my covered porch for my smokes, and I feel like I’m heading into a sauna each time. Haven’t felt this kind of heat and humidity since being down in the gulf late August. WOW. This doesn’t happen up here...

I will take hot and dry over hot and humid any day. It may be 107° here but the heat index is 107°.

I hate humidity and i live in a swamp...

Heat index of 110 today.

I'll be sleeping through it with the window unit blasting in the bedroom.

It's actually pleasant right now. Just fed and watered chickens, sitting in the garage for beer and cigar. Feels nicer than yesterday morning when I had a rolling sweat just sitting here with the fan blowing me

I've never experienced heat without humidity. Any time it's hot here, it's also ridiculously humid.

Closest I got was San Diego in February. It was chilly at night and high 70s during the day. Even the hottest day, once I was in the shade, it felt cool. Never felt sweaty.

I can handle some humidity, but once it feels like I'm drowning when I inhale, I'm unhappy

Fishing was decent yesterday... Got our limits without issue but the size of fish was smaller than what we've gotten used to...

Brother and I are heading out on a 12 hour in the next couple of weeks to get some good vermilion and ling to satisfy the big fish craving...

I hear ya.

Especially that extremely oppressive heat and humidity that feels like you’ve got a weak midget on your back trying to smother you with a heavy hot wet blanket.

Yeah, nuthin wrong with that...
