I think you’ll like it and won’t feel “let down”.

Our son gifted a bottle of that 3-ish years ago and while I’m still not a fan of Scotch or Japanese whisky, find it to be very good, quite smooth and enjoyable. These days he and I will partake when he comes over and decides to imbibe, otherwise the bottle sits besides the other non-bourbons tucked away in a closet corner.

Happy Birthday Elmer!

August 5, 2019 marked the day when legendary Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee would have turned 100. One of Lee’s biggest accomplishments was bringing the first premium single barrel bourbon to market - Blanton’s Original Single Barrel.

Well, I'm told it's cognac, not whiskey, but I just had a taste, (not a drink), of
Hennessy Pure White.
What did I think ?
Tasted like whiskey, to me.

Woe is me, no booze, wine, or beer for about 3 more months. Dieting is a biotch.

Whoa.
That is too extreme a sacrifice in my humble, stumbling, slurred opinion.

"The Kentucky Bourbon Trail glasses' thick, tall sham fits your grip as you swirl the libation, and the wide bowl offers ample surface area to increase evaporation."

The only problem I have is that comment about the swirl. "Technically" you're not supposed to swirl while tasting, does pretty much everyone do it?, more than likely but not supposed to bc it accelerates the evaporation process which could cause off taste in the whiskey.

With that being said.... I like the aesthetics of the glass

Swirl wine yes , bourbon no ....... or at least that's what they told us on several tastings on the Bourbon Trail lol

I don’t swirl. Tried it a couple times in a Glencairn but seemed weird.
