Welcome to the mad house! I enjoyed both the CAO Flathead v660 (its a beast) and the Oliva Serie V. Haven't had the La Promesa but every other My Father I had I liked.

Don't let the vets scare you off. They will warm up to you eventually. Oh and you may need to answer some questions.

To determine who you are R.RED and decide upon your forum worthiness, please answer the following simple questions:

Do you like long walks on the beach ?
Daisy Mae or Ellie Mae ?
Do you like camping by the river ?
Cello on or cello off ?
Ginger or MaryAnn ?
David Lee or Sammy ?
Warner Oland or Sidney Toler ?
Have you been in a Turkish prison ?
Do you like gladiator movies ?
dogs or cats ?
Men or women ?
Wad or fold ?
Sit or squat ?
Do sad movies make you cry ?
Butter or margarine ?

Welcome to the monkeyhouse.

Whether you did ok is entirely subjective. If you enjoy them, you did well. If not, you still may want to give some a second shot down the road as your tastes will likely alter some as you go. I recommend you smoke as many variations all along the mild to heavy spectrum as you can get your hands on and/or afford.

Now answer the questions so we can tell you when your opinions are incorrect

One of your choices above, is quite simply the best cigar in the world.
If you can guess which one if is, you get to move straight to the top of the Summer Weekend Camping With Z list.

You get one clue.......................................GNF

He’s probably still wafting in a cloud of ganj.
We just need to give the Native American Rastafarian some time.

Of the Cigars I purchased I believe the Oliva Serie V would be the best that you are referring to. I personally do enjoy the My Fathers most of all.

Oh and by the way. The link in the post directing me to post a review is only telling by the last portion of it. Lol. Thonginator. I love it. Pays to be in an I.T. Department and always checking link strings before clicking. You guys are awesome. Have a wonderful evening.

Welcome to the Madness.
Remember, if you like it, it's a good cigar. Don't rely on others opinions.
That being said, all the smokes you listed are, in my not so humble opinion, are just fine. The My Father and Oliva are best of the bunch.

That answer is incorrect! But, we'll let it pass. Head on over to the trade forum and jump into the noob pib trade thread. Get in on the fun and you'll get to try smokes you might never have thought to try! Welcome;-)

P.S. Ginger seems like she'd be a cold fish while Mary Ann(who in real life is a MAJOR stoner) would ride you for all you were worth!

I agree, but the more grievous error was picking Toler over Oland. Just saying.
