Sarcasm is epidemic among those who would turn a deaf ear than do Something to help .
Just don’t care and let innocent people get slaughtered.

I have never heard a compelling argument against 'outlawing' 100 round mags like the Dayton POS used. (I'm also fine with finding a way to restrict or eliminate AK/AR style weapons, though I understand the challenges in writing such a law.) Limiting mags to 5 or 10 on all small arms makes too much sense to me...hard to believe it hasn't been enacted more widely already. I fully recognize it isn't going to prevent but jobs from killing people. But it just might limit some casualties without any Constitutional problems, IMO.

If I go duck hunting I have to plug my shotgun so I can't load more than three shells for chrissakes....never considered that a Second ammendment infringement

why are pro-gun people opposed to research that may contribute to understanding the nature and magnitude of the gun violence problem? In depth and open analysis may yield some answers that could reduce the number of casualties...civil society is built upon advances of knowledge to improve the quality of life...

pro-freedom people hated the idea of air quality regulations, argued against any interference with the cigarette industry, opposed seat-belt laws, scoffed at MADD...these all proved to be life savers over the years...

climate change, global warming and fossil fuel industry links will be on that list of man-made maladies that can be fixed, within the next decade...

if not research, how about a new super secret CIA program of mass hypnosis to reduce any notions or thoughts about using a gun to kill somebody?

I mean.... why do we really want to limit it though?

A strong argument can be made for limiting shells on duck hunting, because we're interested in conserving ducks.

We have 7 billion people... no need to really worry about conservation there.

Not a fan of the 50 round drums. I prefer a few 30s.

Unweildly and less reliable. 30-35 is the sweet spot to me. You can swap in a second or so.

Psh. if you think a 1,000 drum is unwieldy then your **** must be too small.

you guys need to step back from that ledge...once you fire that weapon and unload 3+ pounds of lead in about a minute, you're not going to want any gun restrictions...
