I musta missed her? At the KENNEDY CENTER SPECIAL ON PBS CEREMONY WHEN BARRY OBAMA WAS GIVING HER A MEDAL FOR HELPING THE BLACK COMMUNITY...AT THE EXACT SAME TIME ( I was being Gangstalked incessantly from 2012-2017)
WHILE THAT PRIIIIICK BARRY WAS GIVING ME...MR.JONES
"THE GREENLIGHT" for death for no real reason except they couldn't find one at all...and had spent over $52 million doing it...

Maybe Toni Morrison shoulda' taken up another MODERN DAY CAUSE? IT'S CALLED:

this was the reaction in the black community when _____(fill in blank with a Nobel Prize prize winning white author)____ died...without the made up purposely insulting commentary...

not a lot of cross culturalism going on in this melting pot of ours...everybody's too proud of their own, except in athletics ... and even there some people root for/against the kneelers ...and I'm stuck with Confucius...

let's reach across cultures and read one of her books: "Beloved" or "Song of Solomon"?...anybody in?

Read Song of Solomon but has been a really long time. Agree with Delta's sentiment. Whether she hit on your must read list or not doesn't preclude the fact that a significant creative mind has now moved on

Thanks, Frank. I used keep putting Light in August out on the 'main' shelf...had every intention of reading it again. Been over 30 years, but I remember when I finished it the first time, I said, "I'm need to read that again." Maybe I'll start it this weekend.
