already in the can...prolly waiting for a better time to release it...maybe around the middle of November, 2020...

might seem hypocritical for libs to promote this movie because libs tend to blame violence by right wing extremists on rhetoric and social media by con political leaders...

Hello FGM, aka, HGM,

I miss 75% of my shots, do you think closing my eyes when I squeeze the trigger is the cause or am I jerking the trigger?

Hey Waldo how you been!

Your problem could be both.. sometimes when you shut your eyes you can jerk the trigger because you want to shoot at the target you picked out before you closed your eyes and it may cause you to stop your follow through.

Do you wear earplugs? Most of the time the sound of the blast and possibly the kickback will make you blink.

Only going by what you posted, it could be a lack of practice. If you’re not used to it you could instinctively blink .

Missing can also be attributed to the type of game. Turkeys are usually standing still and a dove might be cruising at 40mph on a windy day

In deer hunting most of the shoots will be taken at a stationary target 🎯 PRACTICE 👍

Okay I’ve practiced a bit and I’m only missing 70%, I’ve really embraced your advice.
Im left handed, shooting a right handed rifle with dominant right eye, my left eye has a bad cataract and covered with an eye patch. When I lean over the stock to sight with my right eye the rifle tilts.
Is there any hope I can become a better shot?

A bit won’t help much. Sounds like you have to get used to a right handed gun first.

A rifle or a shotgun with a stationary target 🎯 is good easy practice

Get your rifle sighted from shooting from a sand bag or something very sturdy

Shotguns ... try swinging IN from outside the target but take your time aiming directly at the target until, again, to see that you are used to aiming

Then you can progress

If you're dominant right eyed this should be fairly easy to overcome.Just spend a little extra time on the range and shoot as if it were a single shot rather than a right hand bolt.

I'm right handed but extremely left eye dominant.I shoot only left hand bolt rifles and O/U shotguns.I'm so left eye dominant I shoot pool LH as well as bowl LH.I can throw a football or baseball with either hand, but for preciseness left handed and more power right handed.Golfing is a whole nother story...….right hand clubs and left hand putters. As you might guess I take a lot of schit on the golf course.

It's a curse...….except when flogging the mule,it's kind of like a ménage à trois.My left hand is a more generous partner.....my right,well it's all about him.

Seems HuntingGuitarMan has some solutions and Whistle does too, now if I only had any of those problems.......I am right handed and right eye dominant and although I used to be really good at hitting doves, pheasants and ducks I only shoot clays now. And I do not hit them all that often. Crossers - from the right give me a terrible time! I know what I am doing wrong because I can plainly see that I am not getting ahead of the bird and for the life of me I cannot correct, but I continue to try!!!

I practice rifle and pistol left handed every time I get to the range as one never knows if it will be needed, I am surprised at the results: no tack driving but I can hit what I am aiming at!

Thanks for the advice!

Birds are an easy fix with practice.Line up on a crosser,as soon as he is in your sights accelerate your swing and slap that trigger.Main thing to focus on is obviously your target and running a close second is following thru on your shotgun swing.Never stop that swing till after the recoil.I switched from pumps and autos to O/U's about 20 years ago.The sheer weight of two barrels out there help you follow thru on your shot.My hit ratio went up at least 25% and taking doubles became the norm rather than a rare thing in the field.A much better shot than I taught me to always take a bird in the rear of the flight,as soon as you slap that trigger accelerate your swing on one of the lead birds......slap that trigger as he passes thru your sight. My dumbazz had always shot at the lead bird then slowed my swing for a bird in the rear.........consistently behind that second bird all the time. The barrel weight of the O/U helps in follow thru and acceleration.Hope some of this helped.........and I love spending other peoples money,I recommend a Browning Citori 725(field grade is fine but the sky is the limit on this model)........or if you got money spilling out yo pockets Krieghoff's are hard to beat. You can find good used 12's about $5K and up.In the field I personally use a CZ Canvasback in 12 ga with 28" barrels and extractors only(no ejectors ,I hate picking brass up out of the water) for doves, ducks and geese.Picked it up for a little over 6 bills back in 97 or 98.My quail and skeet gun is a Lanber lightweight in 12 ga with 26" barrels, picked it up for about $750 back in 03 or 04.I have a Browning Citori that sits in the safe and looks pretty.........just cannot bring myself to drag a $2K gun into the field.

I agree with Ron

And

I definitely agree with Macs !! That’s like never bringing out the fine antique cause you’re waiting on a “special occasion “?
You put 2k in a shotgun and won’t use it?

🤔🙄

It gets time on skeet and sporting clays...……..I just don't take it to mesquite pastures or the duck blind.I have two other field guns for that abuse.

OK now I suppose I need to tell you about my Browning A-5 (Belgium made early 1930's).It's had less than a box of shells thru it and zero fired by me.But it is one purty sumbeech.

I have both my grandfathers and great uncles A-5s made in Belgium. I still bird Hunt with them. They kick something awful but they shoot so true.

And FYI..... I’m the hunting expert around here.

Hey who was the guy that argued with me about cleaning a deer. He tried to tell me you couldn’t remove the inside loins without gutting a deer completely. MORON!!!

Does Five Stand count?

Thanks to your advice I kept my eyes open and was able to keep everyone's score!

LOL, went to our clubs annual picnic, they went to a lot of effort this year.

The Clay and Five Stand courses were updated with new stations, gun racks and benches, many new throwers installed.
5 stand was moved, stations raised up for better drainage to make it more all weather.

Yes I shot better, 125 rounds later it was time for beer and brats, burgers, wings and all the fixins.

I'm exactly opposite. I prefer eating rabbit over squirrel. Fried rabbit is amazing. But both go in the burgoo. =d>
