The wife said that a package had arrived for me on Monday. When I get back on Sat, I will see who it is from and figure out a course of retaliation action.

Cheno,

Thanks for a nice selection of cigars.

Damages:
Bahia Maduro
Nica Libre (nh)
Padilla (while label, nh)
Diesel Unlimited Perfecto
Man o War Virtue
and a little shorty with no band. Looks like a AF Short Story.

Thanks again. And since this was a RAOK, I found other means to hit back. Hope someone knocks you around in the NOOB PIB.

David.

Man is in a hurry for some freebies. Hoss, you've been told multiple times, noob pib is the place to start.

Reading is fundamental. There are rules posted at the very beginning of each of these threads. Read and heed.

Patience is a virtue. d'oh!

YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE FORUMS TO PARTICIPATE!!!!!!!!!!!
(Noobs must be active for two months at the very least.)
(back to your regularly scheduled program)

ATTENTION NOOBS!!!

YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE FORUMS TO PARTICIPATE!!!!!!!!!!!

Background: This thread is designed to allow new members to get a good sampler of cigars from an experienced smoker. It also has the underlying intent of fostering the brotherhood whereas an experienced smoker provides mentorship and advice about which cigars are in (their) opinion the best out there. Listed below are “Some” specifics that will help us to get started. And lately it has been about the destruction of Noob’s mailboxes. I am interested in feedback, especially if there is something that I did not clearly articulate.

Explanation: What is the Newbie Sampler?

A specific thread where a Newbie (or anybody new to CBID) can trade for a variety of Cigars. The experienced guy would help the Newbie decide which cigars best fits his tastes based upon the feedback from the Newbie and would tell the Newbie what he would want in return for the sampler. The Newbie would get the “experienced” guy what he wanted and the "experienced" guy would send the Newbie a nice package of assorted cigars. This includes having the Newbie purchase cigars for or from you.

Benefits: Why would I want to trade with these people?

1. First and foremost, time and money will be saved by the new person.
2. The new person will receive a large variety of smokes. All of which have been well maintained and are not dog rockets.
3. Mentoring from an experienced cigar smoker.
4. A start to a good trader rep on Cbid

Mechanics: How is the trade going to work?

There will be a list of experienced smokers that I will maintain on the Newbie sampler thread. A new person would post that they are interested in getting a sampler. The experienced trader would post on the thread PM sent and reply to the Newbie. The deal would then be handled between the two people and the experienced trader would update the thread by posting Newbie trade completed with (insert tag here).
This will allow everyone to see the progress of the Newbie thread.

Summary: If the trade does not work out where both people are totally satisfied then either or both parties can contact me and I will do my best to make it right.

Remember noobs this is not in any way about how much you send to your vet, there is no need to feel like you need to impress us. This is more about trading credibility and making friends.

Have fun!!!!!!

Selfish trade request;
Looking to trade out about 20 some well aged, very well cared for sticks that I DON'T want. Hoping someone may appreciate such as CAOs, Gran Habano 2003, 2006, Greycliff 30 yrs, HCs and other such AJs, Espinosa, Dolce Vita's, Panacea's, RyJs, etc. Some of these have been resting for years meticulously maintained. I don't expect Opus X in return just ANYTHING different. I'll include a premium to make it interesting as well as a bonus item. We could trade a fiver or tenski whatever your comfortable with. I'll go first of course. Send me an addy if interested. My tastes have gone through the roof since I started collecting and I just want to get some fresh meat, preferably well aged fresh meat and would certainly prefer less quantity higher quality in return but as long as someone will enjoy these gars I'm content.

DG, that's not how this particular thread works. You might try posting a new thread with the offer. The PIBs are another way to try some different smokes. Read through some to get a feel for how they work

I'm your Huckleberry! Hi! I'm umm Robert James I'm 23 only been smoking about 9 months. I dig high end well aged Cubans and Potato Chips. I recently got back from the Potato Chip Museum and Hee Haw truck stop. In about 6 months it's the Potato Chip Hall of Fame and Dance club. Where every night is ladies night and fer the fellers in uniform it's still $0.10 a dance! I can't wait! Gosh, I hope this wasn't too forward for a first post?

Hey Huck,

Good to see your virtual post. Well aged Cubans huh? Sorry, I’mma the wrong guy for that. Still aging the ones I got earlier in my CBid “career.”

As far as who will be your vet, I know Stinger will be busy the next couple of days so will have wait to see who gets assigned to me.

Good luck Mr. Potato Chip! 🥔
