So? The caravans are theater. They don't make up the bulk of the actual illegal immigration. They're just in the news so you can rage about the illegal immigrants and go vote Republican...

True, we don't know the actual number of illegals crossing the border... but we do know how many were detained.. which is a huge number compared to Obama.. but in the past 6 months it's dropped... Mellow

Wait a minute. I thought all the **** on the boarder were because of an intensified invasion during this admin and trump didn’t do anything Obama wasn’t already doing (like separation of families). Now it sounds like something different.

Non the less the stats are the stats and you can find them yourselves.

Except that's wrong too.

We have estimates of uncaptured illegals... They've been dropping yearly since like 2006.

We have numbers of people detained at the border... That dropped every year from 2000 to 2011, from 900k to about 3-400k, where it has been hovering to 2016.

This information exists... There is really no reason to make false claims like that without verifying it first.

That’s more Mid-Atlantic. We’re more creole seasoning or crab boil in those situations.

Slap Ya Mama. No, not your actual mama, so don’t lose your schitt on me ya freak!

It’s seasoning in a shaker. Shake it on gumbo, étouffée, jambalaya, blackened catfish, red beans and rice.
An incredible Cajun seasoning. Makes everything even more spicy and delicious.

Or you could just use sage. Minty and refreshing

I’ve got a few I use, but find that SYM is a bit on the salty side for me. There’s a BHM company called Pellitieri’s (I’m sure I got that spelling wrong) that has a good creole, but it’s not spicy enough. A buddy who moved back to New Orleans has started a side business with spice mixes, rubs, and boil seasonings. About to hit him up for some “Bayou Dust.” Check out Hot Rod’s Creole Seasoning and Sauces on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

I don't know why you think that's an actual comment of value.

Read what I've posted. Through the entirety of it, I have not presented anything from "the media". This is his twitter feed, the white house twitter feed and NOAAs website.

Unless you're calling the trump twitter feed "mainstream media".

Blaming this on the mainstream media just makes you sound like tailgater.

The Saga Continues.

Where we last saw our intrepid junior president, fresh from learning to feed himself and make booboo on his own, he was being gallantly defended by a White House Advisor, who has taken it upon themselves to pretend they briefed our tiny handed boy wonder on the dangers of Hurricane Dorain to Alabama, as recently as 02Sep.

Unwilling to take this as a win, and just .... you know... move on... our tiny handed boy wonder has furiously gone to the twitters to continue to claim this is a smear job by the fake media.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump
"The Fake News Media was fixated on the fact that I properly said, at the beginnings of Hurricane Dorian, that in addition to Florida & other states, Alabama may also be grazed or hit. They went Crazy, hoping against hope that I made a mistake (which I didn’t). Check out maps.....
....This nonsense has never happened to another President. Four days of corrupt reporting, still without an apology. But there are many things that the Fake News Media has not apologized to me for, like the Witch Hunt, or SpyGate! The LameStream Media and their Democrat.....
....partner should start playing it straight. It would be so much better for our Country!"

So... again. In a drama in which the president of the united states used SHARPIE to try to draw an additional "area of effect" onto a hurricane map, he is claiming it is the fake news media which is at fault. And claiming that "this nonsense has never happened to another President" (he is correct. We have never had another president so dumb as to try to draw with a sharpie on a map to try to make it support his claim)... and wants ?someone? to apologize? I don't know who he wants to apologize, as the entirety of twitter users has been mocking his sharpie stupidity for days....

And.... he is also trying to drag the democrats into this....

What's funny about the whole thing... is I've only focused on twitter information, because I've been more amused by that. But on the whitehouse website: (https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-announcement-state-opioid-response-grants/) they include a transcript of the president's comments on opiod response grants... and because he's trump we have this gem of a comment, when a journalist is trying to figure out why a map was altered by a sharpie:
"I know that Alabama was in the original forecast. They thought it was get it — as a piece of it. It was supposed to go — actually, we have a better map than that, which is going to be presented, where we had many lines going directly — many models — each line being a model. And they were going directly through. And, in all cases, Alabama was hit — if not lightly, in some cases pretty hard. Georgia, Alabama — it was a different route. They actually gave that a 95 percent chance probability."

This is 100% false. Alabama was always an outlier chance. Even in his falsified maps he released he didn't even get it to 95% (yes, he cannot even forge information to properly support his statements). And, if you look at his tweet above, he is now trying to rewrite history, and claim he only might be "grazed"....

Rather presumptuous, don't you think?

How can you know that kwaj thinks there's value in his comment?

In fact, I think 98.2% of us post here knowing full well how little value we are bringing

That's a fair point. I did make the assumption that kwaj was posting something he believed was of value.

yes...his comments put public officials in Alabama in a tough spot...citizens in their jurisdictions usually take POTUS pronouncements seriously, rightfully so...

Alabamians frightened by Trump's prediction that a hurricane is bearing down on them would ask their local public safety officials/emergency responders/govt. leaders what they are doing to prepare...planning for a hurricane means resources, human and material, must be deployed before the disaster strikes, at what cost?

prolly why Alabama officials immediately refuted Trump's claim...

but since the dawn of the Trump era, Americans now have more reason to doubt the POTUS, the media, local govt and law enforcement, for a variety of reasons, some of which are Trump's pronouncements...

I mean... I definitely didn't wring my hands too much about that. At this point in our presidency, I really hope no one actually believes a thing he says/tweets (let that sink in for a moment.... ) if they do, well darwinism got us this far.

But yes, I'm sure that's why the National Weather Service and Alabama immediately refuted his claim. Which apparently really hurt his feelings.

You cannot honestly believe Trump had ANYTHING to do with this... The guy makes a statement that could cause panic in Alabama. Meteorologist's put out a statement that only say's no need to worry Alabama you're okay. The POTUS then spends his time, his staff's time, the press's time and our time crying that he wasn't wrong. No one criticized him in the first place, they just put out a statement to let people in Alabama know they were okay.

This whole circus over this and you think this guy is sophisticated enough to guide our economy in any meaningful way? I don't trust anyone who uses a knife and fork to eat pizza because his hands are too small to hold a folded slice.
