You genius...that's the reason...they used up all the white out sniffing it and had to resort to the black sharpie...in their fog, they convinced themselves nobody would notice...

WH aides reported that it was the "Big Dummy" who drew the sharpie line...

his "uhhh, I don't know " response to the question about the sharpie line looks like a deer in the head lights now...

I got that headline in a newsfeed as well....WaPo actual printed quote from the aide, however, was:
"“No one else writes like that on a map with a black Sharpie,” the official said of the map,.."

The 'clickbait' headline may not be fake, but it surely isn't professional

Dude... you know he did that himself. He looked at it...saw it didn't touch alabama... screamed at his aides a little bit.... when they told him they didn't have any that showed alabama getting hit he screamed at them to change it.... and then he realized he had a sharpie in his pocket.
