I know other people love them but I've had terrible construction issues with the Vigia. For how much the go for, pretty inexcusable. Now, could just be the box I got (haven't dipped into the second) but about a 50% underfilled rate on this box so far.

The Hoyo Epi #1 is a very mild cigar.I only bought these once...…..mild and woody is my best description.
As far as the Trinidad's go I have not tried the Vigia.I have had the Coloniales,Fundadores and Reyes...….all are excellent IMO.

Trinidad Fundys have been fire the past year or so, but not a lot of "deals" on them.

Hoyos are kinda bland, honestly, except for the 'Hoyo du ______" lines and the PC tubos. Haven't heard much about the Vigios, but the size is too small and the price too high for me to take a gamble on them.

They're currently being offered for 186 for a box of 12.

Forget the Trini's and go straight for the HdM.

I pulled the trigger on some Trinidad Vigia's. Read a few reviews on them and seems like the profile is right up my alley. We'll see.

1. Buy from a reputable retailer
2. Date each cigar w/ month and year
3. Rest them at least 3 years.
4. Buy a bunch of 5rs to see which ones you like
5. Send me 1 of each cigar you buy and I'll smoke it, review it and get you my notes. Helps with finding which ones are good.

Hoyo Epi’s are good to me.....the short Robbie was an air ball IMO.
Second what Whistlebritches said about the Trinidad, Reyes is probably the cigar I got the most “honey” taste out of, love em.

This might not help the OP, but the Epi #2 is one of my favorites. Needs aging to get the full benefit, at least a year IMO.

The Epicure #1 is a good smoke to kick back and relax with, I smoked with Gentleman Jack I would recommend giving it a try.
