isn't that old-fashioned, conservative open capitalism?
I actually am in agreement with that. A private concern can run it's business anyway it chooses to do so and accepts the economic consequences therein. That is the foundation this country is built on.
Unfortunately whether or not the sheep think it's acceptable is dependent on who's ox is being gored. The sheeple are fine with this as it's the gun owners being inconvenienced again. God help the business if they do something based on religious principles though.
Unfortunately, and what no one is discussing is, that Walmart has run most of the mom and pop businesses, and not just gun shops out of business in the outlying rural areas.
So this decision actually will effectively cut off a pretty good segment of the population from Firearms and ammunition for those they may already have. While a huge portion of the left thinks this is awesome, what would their thoughts be if Walmart stopped selling E-cigs, or cell phones or groceries or feminine hygene stuff and now those folks were just without?
I think the righteous indignation would come out. Of course, pursuing this line of reasoning requires a certain amount of intellectual honesty. Which luckily for us, is in short supply in the media and liberal portions of our society.
They are perfectly ok with subjugating folks who don't believe the same things or who dare to live differently than them. Especially those with differing political views. I am quite sure the left would happily pick up firearms as long as it was to herd the conservatives into the modern "ghettos".
I honestly don't believe they would think twice based on the rhetoric exhibited daily. Hypocrisy by any other name....
