4/20/19 203 lbs....after many ups and downs...10/5/19 184 lbs. This is after being 230 lbs just a couple of years ago.

I have started taking running and cycling more seriously in recent years and it’s all about that power-to-weight ratio...guess blood volume is probably important too.

I’m 5’7” and not really sure what my target weight is gonna be for optimum performance, but do know that I still have a long way to go. This thread is a good reminder to keep it moving in the right direction.

191....gained another lb...just a few weeks ago, at 188 and looking forward to steady downward trend...can't seem to find the discipline to stop snacking and eating the right foods...prolly have to get the bicycle back in good working order...long walks aren't burning enough of the excess calories I'm consuming...

Down to 208, 3 more lb and I with be at a medically normal BMI. I started yoga last week, it was a stretch. Almost time to start swimming. That will replace running as it is easier on the knees and hips and I am up to 12 miles a day. Plus it is a more complete work out. It will take some time but I want to work up to muscle oxygen depletion. Once I get there I will be lean and toned again.

After 3 days in Chicago and going down to Talladega, at least we caught the first stage, I'm up a pound to 225. Back to watching what I eat again. Had a great visit with my daughter in Chicago.

All the way back up to 203 right now. Done fishing for the season (I think).

Time to get back in the gym and start eating right again.

Dammit.

I'm at 205 lb. A normal BMI for my age and height. Hip Hop Hooray!!! I plan on getting down to 185 lb, then trading muscle for fat, and seeing what weight feels best.

Yep. Had to stop running... plantar fasciitis in both feet. 3 cortisone shots each. No bueno, but there are other things I can do. I just quit doing all of them and ate what I wanted.

Blood pressure today for my doctor visit - 114/75 pulse 62. *shrug* seems it takes a long time to undo all the good I did.

Still... need to get back at it.

To reduce the pain of plantar fasciitis, try these self-care tips:

Maintain a healthy weight. Lose weight if you're overweight or obese to minimize stress on your plantar fascia.
Choose supportive shoes. Avoid high heels. ...
Don't wear worn-out athletic shoes. ...
Change your sport. ...
Apply ice. ...
Stretch your arches.

Gonna be tough giving up high heels

My new lady is 5'10". She wears heels with me every chance she gets. For IZON'S inquiring mind the answers wold be no, I don't, yes she does in the bedroom as long as I pick out the rest of the outfit, and that's just sick but you would think of it.

239 despite overeating last week a few times, being sick may have been an effect.

For the first time in 20 years I’m able fit into a 38” waist pair of pants. I’ve dropped right at 4 inches off my waistline. Hoping to be in a 30” or 32” at some point.

Down 3 for the week, 220. Was able to stay away from most of the Halloween candy, even though we made popcorn balls (yearly tradition since '96)

238 this morning and thinking watching the diet. Had some days in the past couple of weeks when I clearly overate. Wife made chocolate and mint chip cookies a couple of days ago which is going to be a temptation.
