It's sick isn't it? Visiting with the people who were affected by 9/11 the most and thanking in person the men who killed him. Outrageous.

Putting on a flight suit, sitting a fighter jet as it landed on an air-craft carrier, changing into a suit and making a speech under a Mission Accomplished banner live on TV.

"Admiral Kelly, Captain Card, officers and sailors of the USS Abraham Lincoln, my fellow Americans, major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed."

And the war wasn't even close to being over. What a chump.

Impeach now.

lmao, classic.

What is true is I remember things, as opposed to those on the right who are highly critical of Obama this week for visiting ground zero. If they had remembered the mission accomplished fiasco, they probably wouldn't be whining so much because it just makes them look so foolish.

Obama has every right ot be proud of our military/intelligence services and he should be dishing out the BZ's(job well done to you non-Navy types).I also give him credit for authorizing such a high risk OP......that took some cajones. However if I hear "I" come out of his mouth one more time. The man is an incredible narcicist. When it's about the budget he inherited it........but OBL was all his doing.Sorry you can't have it both ways.

Let's take a look at the Sunday announcement and the number of times he said 'I' and the context.

"I can report to the American people and to the world, the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden"

"And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda"

"I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden"

"I've made clear, just as President Bush did shortly after 9/11, that our war is not against Islam."

"I've repeatedly made clear that we would take action within Pakistan if we knew where bin Laden was."

"Tonight, I called President Zardari"

"These efforts weigh on me every time I, as commander in chief, have to sign a letter to a family that has lost a loved one"

"And tonight, let us think back to the sense of unity that prevailed on 9/11. I know that it has, at times, frayed."

8 times. How many of those are objectionable?

Think Think

" I found OBL"

" I killed OBL with my K-bar"

" I instructed my war puppy-dog to chew off OBL's face"

" I picked up the body with one hand and tossed him in the helicopter"

" I pushed his ass off the boat"

I read it on the internets.... Mellow

Obama death tour...there's got to be a limit. It's beginning to look as if he's enjoying his pound of flesh too much. But that's not what we're about. RIGHT? Gonz

I'm just saying there is a difference in the capitalization of military victories and political ones. Spiking the ball in the end zone and flaunting trophies about may not be our style according to BHO, but he's hit the road doing just that only in political form. Let's just say for the moment that spouting militaristic concepts is an awkward fit for Obama, and now he's awash in them and it looks and sounds odd. This whole OP could have been his Bay of Pigs moment, but instead it was his Missles of October.

The GWB "mission accomplished" thing was a "shooting your wad prematurely" moment. Silly and a grevious error. Gonz

It's 'awkward' for Obama because the Republicans have painted every Democrat with the 'weak of Defense' label, which is obviously not true. As pointed out here this week he has spoken the same way since he was a candidate about his plans for the military and strategy. He hasn't fulfilled all his promises in 2 years, but there is still time, so, we'll see.

lol, no. He's just a helluva lot better than the right is painting him out to be. If the right wasn't so crazy in their criticism of Democrats and/or Obama, I wouldn't have much to defend.

Another example of taking what I, or other 'liberals' say and exaggerating it so much that it no longer means what the person said.

Just like HD before you. I never said Obama was 'Great', and I never said 'right wing conspiracy', nor hinted at either.

Just like calling Obama a Kenyan Communist etc etc, it's so outrageous it shouldn't even need to be addressed, but it's so prevalent that the majority of Republicans believed that Obama was not a citizen of the US before he released his long form BC. I don't know what the polling says now though.

Just 19 more months of smoking the tires in front of the grandstand.

Don't get me wrong now. This is one time I'm grateful he didn't just vote "present" when asked to make a tough decision.

I hope Bill Ayers forgives him.
