how long does it take for traceable amounts of nicotine to disappear from the blood...I guess the real question is: how many days before the blood test do you have to abstain...

Last year I gave it two weeks or so and passed. Trace amounts will pretty much always be present due to dietary intake. Potatoes, teas, hot peppers, eggplants all have a fair bit of nicotine in them. The cutoff level for a positive test is high enough that trace amounts don't trigger. Which is why I can get away with passing with just two weeks "clean"

Just sucks cause the test is in December/January. Cigars and beers were always part of the holidays with the in laws but had to drop it a few years ago.

Sunoverbeach wrote:
That just sucks. Shouldn't be something they can mandate in my opinion. Is that health insurance cost driven or something?

If you test positive for nicotine you pay another $100/mo for insurance I believe. Might be more might be less. Positive for anything else you lose your job.

Wife's leaving for the weekend. Trying to think of stuff to do with the boy. Thinking of taking the train to Chicago and going to the field museum. He's never been there and I don't think I've been since I was in grade school.

Took him two years ago. Never been to field museum. Plus field is easier to get to by train, much less walking.

One will be spatchcocked in the oven. Cooks in a 1/3 of the time and is great!

One roasted in the wood fired oven. We're giving the deep fryer and smoker a break this year.

Lights been on in my truck for a couple weeks.

Checked and I'm at 65psi. Rides much nicer at 65 instead of the 90 I'm sposeda be at.

Think the lights gonna stay on till I got a load or a trailer

Did I'd a Wisconsin Pit Stop.
-Pulled up to the compressor.
-The boy jumped out first, removing valve stem covers.
-I followed with the air hose.
-He covered the stems again.

Three minutes total.

I'm afeared of blowing out a tire at 80 mph.

Good call. The last time I thought, "hell, it'll be alright" I ended up with a flat on the interstate in -10 degree weather. d'oh!

I respect that light now. Brick wall
