Has anyone ever had Blood Oath? Had a liquor store owner show me a bottle he got in. Sounds like it's not easy to get ahold of. Wondering if it's just a lot of talk or if it's worthy of taking the $$$ plunge.

That's another gimmick brand to me. They buy "orphan barrels" from what ever distillery they can get them from and then do some "alchemy" to make an "ultra wonderful one time the sum is better than the parts bourbon. There will be no more."

As soon as you see that line, run. LOL. I got a buddy of mine that keeps getting sucked in on them. Mixers one and all. d'oh! Expensive mixers at that. Not talking

That's my take on those anyway.

I have Pact#2 and after trying it a couple of times, knew it wasn’t worth anywhere near the $90-ish I paid (...it may have been less but it’s been a few years since I bought it...).

So, like Vince said, run away!

Luke - anytime brother

Inspired by Luke’s question, I pulled out my bottle:

Blood Oath Pact #1

Thought I had #2 but turns out I had the first one. Upon further review, it’s not bad...but not $90 good.

That is an awesome tribute.

Unless the 4 fingers deep thing is symbolic. In which case that is probably too much information. OhMyGod

Not symbolic. He’s more of a “mini van” kinda guy.

After several years of chasing all the high dolla bourbon's I just gave up.Maybe one out of ten should've commanded the coin required for admittance.

I know what I like and I stick to it.

Last night OGD 114...…..one of the best values out there

Basil Hayden Dark Rye. The regular Basil Hayden bourbon is pretty damn good, but the dark rye is just velvety goodness.

Thanks Rich.

Same here. Also can’t put Jose Cuervo up to my nose. Too much of both in the younger years, each now would elicit pharyngeal reflex.

I am in that camp as well Frank, with the exception of the JD Single Barrel. That and the Single Barrel rye they make are both very very good. I was surprised honestly. I keep both in stock now. Beer

They are amazingly well balanced. I was shocked. I drink it neat, and I enjoy those two.
