not exactly what I was going for...

Neither you nor I could truly know what Trump really feels and thinks about this, but I suspect that he intentionally taps into a voting bloc that is xenophobic (and other unloved and unwashed blocs as well)...I know you understand that does not mean that I feel all of his supporters subscribe to that ugly philosophy, but his ability to market and excite that vertical market of buyers to action translates to votes from those that used to stay in Mom's basement, seething at their detachment. And if his forecasters are accurate, those folks tend to reside in specific areas of electoral votes, blah blah blah.

Consider that Obama mobilized minorities whom had historically passed on voting, and rode that wave to victory. Hillary assumed she'd inherit that crowd and didn't even get my vote! Taking folks for granted is poor marketing.

Trump found a different unmined vein of non voters and stirred them into the polling places. Is he racist? Is he xenophobic? Is he a nazi sympathizer? A white supremacist? I dunno. But if they think they can see a shaft of light through a crack in Mom's bulkhead, they will go to the light and vote...and really Anthony, why should he care about the resume or pedigree of the voters who cast votes for him?

When you speak of unloved and unwanted blocs of Trump voters you thank the entire fiasco that has been the 2016 election up until this very day. It started with baskets of deplorables, to smelly unwashed walmart masses, to whatever Democrats want to call [bloc] tomorrow. This is why I have a hard time ever agreeing with a Democrat. They started the tribalism. Trump just perfected it.

Obama was a whirlwind. I will give the man credit every day of the week that he worked his ass off and will even say he earned his presidency. I hate the man for the color of their flag not the color of their skin and all I see is a red flag with a hammer and sickle. Bernie's dream come true.

Trump did indeed pick up some racists and idiots (I refuse to be called a racist but I defend your right to call me an idiot, and will agree with you) but these sects do not define his entire voter base. You might as well accuse the Obama voters (black, white, name a shade) of being just as bad as the (for lack of a better word) minority neo-nazi voter base.

did you gloss over this part of my post?

"I know you understand that does not mean that I feel all of his supporters subscribe to that ugly philosophy..."

The winners generally get some previously unmotivated portion of voters to actually vote. I was identifying his, and Obama's as well.

I find it odd that you are all so focused on how Trump will be remembered and not how the rest of us will be remembered. One side chanting ACQUITTED which is not the same as not guilty and the other side just as rabid in their denouncements. This time the focus will be on all of us. What the "News" media became. What the Pro and Anti sides did and said. On social media and out in the streets. I don't think anyone will be remembered fondly. One side will be remembered as Fascist and the other Communist in their leanings. Both remembered for how they almost destroyed the Rule of Law, The Economy, The Freedoms we used to enjoy, etc. I hope in 50 or 100 years from now, what they learn, are from our mistakes, not how it should be done. The idea of American Exceptionalism has been on the ropes for a long time. This my be it's death knell if the next generations aren't careful. Rome is remembered as a great civilization, one of the greatest. Rome Fell. We can too.

though I don't think we are near the end of the run, I do agree with much of what you say about our place in history as a generation, and it won't be as The Greatest Generation Part II.

If we are near the end of the run, history may say we allowed outside influence to turn routine differences and squabbles into polarizing events...hence Commies and Fascists instead of Liberals and Conservatives or even Democrats and Republicans.

Language determines, defines, and limits perception of reality...not the other way around.

Acquitted IS the same as not guilty... it was a TRIAL! Peloser and all the rest of the socialists wanted it but t instead got what they deserved. Even MORE implosion for their “party” and showing their true selves. Backstabbers, liars, cheaters and trying to use dirty politics just for political gain!

How’d that work out for them!?

We couldn't prove it doesn't mean you didn't do it. I mean, we all know he did it, everyone know's he did it, you KNOW he did it. The question is do you care that he broke the law? No? Okay. That's you and we're not gonna judge.... well.... maybe a bit but, not while you're around. RepubliCONS for the win!

I care. In this amateurishly ran investigation it was clear from the outset that this was going to be nothing but a partisan attack. They refused to subpoena any witnesses because they said they wanted an expedient case. That's laziness on their part. We listened to witnesses get gaveled down and told to shut up. We saw a one-sided assault where only the "prosecution" could call witnesses into the proceeding with hardly any cross-examination by the accused. That is some low rent kangaroo court right there. That's not justice. That's not doing a service to the citizens. This was all a staged attempt to stage a non-military coup. The Democrats were so enraged that America refused the DNC anointed candidate overwhelmingly and by a reality TV show real estate mogul nonetheless!!! How dare America do this! So, they had to step in and right the wrong. Well, when you come up to the plate and you're swinging a dead fish instead of a bat...it was never going to be a game was it? All they had on the guy were out of context statements and a transcript of a call between two leaders...that Trump released to them! No crimes. No broken statutes. Then they sat on it for a month. How could this be? We were told it had to be fast! I believe that it took that long because Nancy was waiting for www.wish.com to deliver the pens she had made but I could be wrong. They made a big show out of it and walked it over to the Senate chambers. Almost like how a potty training infant guides you to the toilet so you can see what they did and applaud for them. Everyone saw the charade for what it was though. Well, I guess you didn't get the memo or called in sick that day. Then it was the Senate's turn to hear this case. This "irrefutable" case. This "Beyond the burden of proof", this "there can be no doubt" and who could forget the "quid pro quo"! If all that were true we would've had the actual statutes brought up and read. Witness would be called and crossed examined except that's not the Senate's function. They only hear and try the case put before them. Now, who's fault would that be? Remember the GOP wasn't allowed to enter witnesses and barely got to cross-examine them because Schiff and Nadler would gavel them out of earshot. So, what is this "it" that he did? That the Senate couldn't stand in a unified manner and convict this **** on? One peel away attention whore, Benedict Romney really doesn't count. I mean the guy is STILL butthurt he didn't get the Secretary of State position. So, what did he do that the House couldn't convict him of?

For almost 18 months there was Ryan dragging his feet and the rest of the swamp monsters pouting. So, that's not 80%...I dont even believe he now has more that 50%! He's doing ALL the heavy lifting. He found a party would back him because I believe he's held true to what he said he was going to do. He's outmaneuvered the best the DNC can toss at him and made them look stupid chasing their tails.

all the whiners among the cons about an illegitimate investigation that was a political partisan hit job that was a total waste of time and money have forgotten their appetites for on-going, interminable investigations....

EMAILS/SERVERS!!!!

BENGHAZI!!!!

LOCK HER UP!!!!

the difference...mounds of evidence that didn't take long for people to speak up about and bring to the light of day...

ever wonder why Trump and his legal team are moving mountains to keep Bolton's mouth shut and fingers frozen?

Moving mountains? Really!?

Oh my.

The facts are what they are. The Shifty Schiff $hitty Sham Show was a low rent grifter's attempt to impress DNC leadership! Nothing more and nothing less. The plug was pulled. Your "patient" is dead.

If only they had a lawyer on the Intel panel! Oh wait...a good lawyer!

ok...I'll spell it out...Trump is trying to stop Bolton from publicly saying/testifying what he witnessed while working in the WH as the NSA...Bolton is no longer employed by the WH and as a private citizen enjoys 1st Amendment rights...plenty of well established legal precedents, (stacks-mountains of legal docs) give him the right to speak and to write /publish his book...

Now that you clearly articulated what you probably meant in the last post...Nobody cares!

If Bolton is subpeoned to testify, then he goes before them. He never was and to date still isn't.

Has Trump jailed reporters, prosecuted whistleblowers, weaponized government entities against his political foes?

Trump isn’t a great guy or POTUS ok.....but what you’re apparently ok with is pretty appalling.

This is why I don't and didn't like Trump before he became President.

I saw this turd the other day. It really perplexed me. It was the perfect size to sit lengthwise across the pit of the toilet in a manner where no matter how many times you flushed it, water would not directly hit it so it would not break. How does one even do that?
