Stagg Jr. from an older batch. I know I've had it for over 5 years.

66.1% alcohol/132.2 proof. I like the strong stuff neat, much better than lower proof bourbons.

Blackened is a great Whiskey. Sister came through with a bottle for tasting when it was first released.

Belle Meade Cask Strength offerings from Nelson's Green Brier Distillery is some good stuff.

Barrell Bourbon has some really good batches and a few that are "thin" as far as flavor.

Talisker Dark Storm just gifted to me by a friend. Wow, no joke it's in specially charred barrels. I thought Johnny Walker Double Black was smokey...

Not bad. Different. I had to readjust to the the sour mash. It is a distinctive finish. Beer

I've always thought it was a crossover between bourbon and scotch...….But I seriously like it

I never thought of it like that. That is an apt description buddy. By God I'll have to try a dram tomorrow with that thought in mind. That's a pretty good analogy. Beer

Been back an forth the last few nights between the Sherry finish Belle Meade and Rock Hill Farms.

Looking forward to next weekend and the honey Barrel release at Nelson's Green Brier distillery in Nashville. We are gonna celebrate my wife's birthday by taking a distillery tour after getting in line for the release.

How is this? I just saw two different bottles of it here today. Recognized it from the chatter here but had no idea whether its good or not. One was cask strength maybe?

Quite good to me, quite a few others as well. But, some don't like it, everyone's palate is different. I would go for the Cask Strength, but I prefer 100+ proof alcohol. Some say it's similar to the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof, I think it stands alone, give it a try, you will l really enjoy it.

They have a handful of various "finishes" Madeira, Sherry, Honey, et al. They finish the 8-12 year old whisky in old Hogsheads and barrels for 5-10 months until they get the desired flavor.

Just finished up the Glenfiddich 18. It was ok but there are better bottles out there for $100.

I just bought a bottle of the “classic” just the standard bourbon, I’ve been really enjoying it so far.

Glenfiddich is trash. They don't know how to make a whisky with a smooth finish. Even their 21yr has that nasty tasting bite.

Yeah, I'm going back to Aberlour and Balvenie, but I'm still gonna give some other suggested bottles a try.

If you're spending $100 per vottle the Glenlivit Nadurra is one of my favorites. Also the Macallan Classic Cuts are nice.

I've been hankering for some Indian whiskey since my trip to India in 2017. They had this cheap little bottle there called Antiquity "Blue" that was dynamite but I can't find any second hand here in the states. Been wanting to pull the trigger on a bottle of Amrut only $40 here at total wine.

I've drank some Indian whiskey when I was in Mumbai and Columbo Sri Lanka. Can't say that any I drank were that memorable but that may be due to the quantity indulged.I will say the worst beer I have ever had was brewed in India...…...Old Monk AKA Old Funk

Yeah both the Old Monk rum and the beer is awful. I was there on Juhu beach and it seemed our selection at the liquor store next to the hotel was limited, Johnny, Antiquity, and Paul John.

So we mainly went with Antiquity and also plenty of bottles of Kingfisher Strong.

I've got a 20, a 15, and the family reserve rye. The 15 is the best of the lot I think, the 12 was good but...........

The Blanton's has dried up here. We were getting a fairly steady supply, then nada. This is getting ridiculous. ThumbDown
