My taste either really changed or these are a lot stronger young.

It's been my experience that RASS are not even smokable for a few years but time is rewarded.

Montecristo Regata 2-19

Very good ROTT, I'd love to let them spend a year in the magic box but I don't have that much restraint. Maybe I better get another box while they're still on sale.

HUHC the last two days.

I think they're my favorite CC. Perfect smoking time, been very consistent for the last 5 years I've been buying them, and I feel like they carry the CC flavor profile over anything else. When I have a buddy who wants to try a Cuban, I usually hand over one of these cause they have the unique CC flavor above any others.

They're simple, one dimensional, but that's what I like about them. Also I tend to lose interest after 30 minutes.

I agree on the flavor but the time is exactly why I don't like them. When I sit down to have a cigar I want something that lasts for an hour or more because I'm prolly reading something. I always have these and PLPC, Party Shorts etc on hand but end up smoking two. Prefer something like robusto or toro vitolas.

Had another Dip no.2 last night, much better roll, much better cigar. Also had a LGC RE Espana....the less said about that the better, blech. Hoping that, like the RG 88, they come around with significant rest.

Are the RG 88 worth the extra coin?

Eh... I'm liking them now with lots of rest, but are they worth it? I'm not sure, at the sale price I'm seeing, around $130, they are way more palatable, but I'd rather spend a bit more on the Punch 48's, seen those for $140 a box recently and think that's a much better value as my 48s have been smoking really, really well.

Get the f*** outa here. Please tell me you're not just discovering the Party short? (minuto)

Ramon Allones Small Club Corona... with a cup of coffee at 6am. (minuto)

Por Larranaga Petit Corona... for a mild flavor bomb. (pc)

You're welcome.

Now when you're ready to graduate to Corona Gordas PM me. I'll give you a few examples of good'uns off the record. It's my favorite size, so I don't want any of my vendors running out of stock ya know... BigGrin

Well, yeah actually. The whole CC thing (real ones anyway) is new ground for me.

Roger that. Thanks for the pointers, I'll give them a go.

And off the record, thanks, I may take you up on that. Beer

I've been really enjoying RyJ '08 Coronitas en Cedros lately. Also, '17 Bolivar Tubos #2 are already an excellent smoke.

2 of the 4 boxes I ordered came in... along with a free 3 pack of Montecristo Open Regata tubos.

The 2 boxes I ordered for me are still in transit, it seems.

Got it. Sorry bud. Was using my mobile and didn't have my glasses. Bad combination. Thanks.

At a buck and a quarter a box, those seem reasonable. ThumpUp
