Liberal Commies at work assaulting Houston Astros

I'm sorry but I've had it with all the horsešhit regarding the Houston Astros.

Everyone seems to forget that both the Yankees AND the Red Sox were caught and fined for cheating during the 2017 season and the Astros still had to win every single series on the road facing elimination. They were the best team in the World in 2017 period and no one else was close. Just because it know what's coming, doesn't mean you can hit it. I'm not nearly as locked in as an MLB player, but just watching a pitcher for about 5 minutes I can start to predict what he's bringing next. That's the weird part about the whole situation, Astros won more games on the road when they didn't have the "advantage" than at home.

And if Mike Fiers really cared about it that much, he'd walk away from the big multi year contract he got as a direct result of that season and give back his ring. He's not doing either. Just sour grapes for not making it on the playoff roster after leading the team in innings pitched during the regular season. Fiers started crying after he gave up 5 runs in relief in Oakland against the Astros as part of a four game sweep last year.

Worst yet, NO ONE has said a word about the Red Sox who kept cheating in 2018 even after being caught and fined in 2017. The media has said absolutely NOTHING about the Red Sox title being tainted eventhough their level of cheating was WAYYYYYYY worse!

There's only one reason why any of this assualt was launched on Houston and it's because the Los Angeles and New York media are šhitting themselves on how Houston, a team that has cheated far less came up and won in 2017 and went back to the Series in 2019. I hope it all backfires on them and we win fair and square for the next decade.

Plus they want to be mad because Gurriel made chinese eyes but really he was just excited and nobody had any idea it was part of his Cuban culture.

GO STROS!!!

pretty sure Astros fans would have the same sentiments if it had been the Dodgers, Yankees or Nationals cheating and winning and the Astros were on the losing side of the World Series...yea...no big deal...still gotta hit it...

Black Sox, Jose Canseco, Mark McGuire, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Astrorisks...historic baseball infamy...

poor deluded JJ...it's the media's fault that Astros are treated like pathetic cheating pariahs instead of the deserving champions they are..just because you have an advantage because you know what pitch is coming doesn't mean squat, cuz you still gotta hit it....Astros were no worse than everybody else...got snitched out by that turncoat Fiers who reaped the rewards of the cheating....racism is OK because it's acceptable in some countries... Astros now pledge to play clean, fair, and square and show everybody...

yeah...that rant will change minds...

You completely overlooked the fact that NY and Boston both blatanly cheated and no different that the media you're pushing rhat under the rug

You did not address the fact that they played the majority of their games away and this elaborate ruse could only really happen at home.

Not to mention St. Louis and Philly more or less infiltrated the Astros management to trade off pretty much all of Houston's star talent prior to Crane buying the team and setting up the Ryan's successful farming system.

And what about all the crap that the Rockets got when they won the Championships back to back in the 90's? Seriously the media hates Houston. They always have, we get more šhit than any other city.

The bottom line is that of you're going to poont the finger at Houston bogger fingers should be pointed at New York and Boston.

Um... you know Alex Cora got fired, right? I'm not sure MLB has completed their hammer dropping yet.

Frank, my point is that plebty of other Championahip teams got caught even prior to this and no one made a big deal. Astros do it and everyone craps themselves.

Tom Brady was suspended 4 games, the Patriots lost a #1 pick. The evident was unverifiable. Yet I don't hear Frank or Whistle crying like you. Tail does cry but for entirely different reasons. Pete Rose will never be in the hall of fame which is a travesty. Yet Marge Schott never threw her swastikas at anyone. She was forced to sell her team, as was Donald Sterling even though we supposedly have freedom of speech. You are allowed to tell me Donald Trump is great, though if I agreed with you we would both be wrong. Quit whining and start gloating, you team got the best edge, it ain't cheating till your caught, and professional sports never vacate titles. Some bad press for 2 recent world series wins, I'd take it. Oh yeah, no publicity is bad publicity. I will be rooting for the Astros to stick it to MLB, and win a third world series.

I am not a baseball fan or viewer...

But I really liked going to 2-3 minor league team games every season and at least trying to watching the world series every year.

But, I hear all this history of sign stealing...so many teams during many many HALL OF FAME inductees playing seasons...

I say the entire history of baseball had sign stealing accusations...perhaps totally true...
I say let it be...but prevent the future infractions...
IF POSSIBLE? I HIGHLY DOUBT IT IS EVEN pplPOSSIBLE TO ENFORCE.

I say the ASTROS will forever be in the bad history books FOR taking the "fall"...but so be it...

Just DROP IT..
AND MOVE ON...

mostly I was just messing with ya...

but if true, what the 'stros did was many levels above any other team. waaaay more unfair.

fwiw, sign stealing is a time honored tradition in baseball, but there is a code of honor in the crime. It's done with the eyes and the brains. One does not place a monitor in the clubhouse, fed by the centerfield camera, to watch the catcher and then compile Al Gore Rhythms or whatever you IT guys do, and then send signals to the batter either through the drum beats on a trash can or through the use of a concealed electronic buzzer in the batters uniform...well ONE does not do that but Houston did!

and this AFTER electronic communication was banned a couple of years ago. This came about 3 years, maybe 4 years ago when a human texted what he though he had deciphered to the Sox manager. Had he simply walked over and spoke it, no problem.

The Yankees may have been warned about some type of camera use, but these instances were like child's play in comparison.

And what may be the biggest crime of all in this matter is how MLB and their terrible Commish are dealing with it...and I am one of the last people on Earth that still loves the game. Recent Astro teams have been excellent too.

I'm not really whining or crying. Just more or less breaking silence and defending these guys. They're my team, I spent my entire life waiting for this moment. My brother and I promised each other as kids we'd go to the series. Made it to game five in 2017 which was touted as the absolute greatest spectacle in American Baseball history. There's no doubt iny mind what I saw. It was the greatest game I'd ever see. I guess you guys are right, we won the Title, that really is all that matters.

I'd let wifey read this and post but most of you couldn't handle the toungue lashing she can hand out...…...especially anyone that **** s with her beloved Astros. As a Red Sox fan I took a screwing too......I like Alex Cora.

I still see this as little more than over/under inflated balls...…...bunch of professional crybabies looking for excuses.

Giants fans loved Barry Bonds.....A's fans loved Canseco and McGwire...Cubbies loved Sosa...Pats fans love Belichick and Brady...NOLA fans love the Saints...

the steroid era fits in with JJ's narrative, seems everyone was doing it so there wasn't a huge backlash against the abusers who got caught throughout the sport...more a media/public outcry then...yawn

it feels like the Astro's and Red Sox's cheating are being viewed somewhat differently...much more anger by other teams and players...I'm guessing that the "everyone does it" theory doesn't hold water because what they were doing was considered different, another level, not just eyes and ears, but involving artificial/technological enhancements...like the use of telescopes and covert spotters behind the scoreboards in baseball's history...

on the other hand...this may feel bigger due to the advances in social media and the 24 hour news cycle...

Red Sox traded Pistol Pete Runnels, a good hitter at the end of his career, for Mejias.

You wouldn't say this if you had ever meet Pete face-to-face. He's a first class POS. I saw him rip a child for asking for an autograph. Yelled at this kid like he was asking for Pete's last dime. Not to mention what he did during the 1970 All Star Game.

As far as the Astros go; they cheated! End of discussion. What any other team did before or after is irrelevant! Cry Baby Cry

The Cora Common Factor?

it is strange that players have immunity when this really is a player driven cheating scan.
Pitchers will be head hunting this year!

The hall of fame is about what a player did on the field. The PED'S boys are on the ballot. Yet Rose never has been. What's he like off the field? I don't really care. Banned for life, fine, he bet on games. No chance at the hall, not fine, his career backs up the opinion that he belongs there.

had to look that one up....and your memory is great, as usual...before his legendary career as a Red, he played 7 full years and two partial years prior to full rookie season in Houston...made All Star team once as an Astro...

so the 'Stros had two of the best little men ever.....and Altuve follows in their footsteps...let's see if he can play without cheating...
