Nah, 09 is the victor boy. I'm the real deal.

Just spoke with a manager from the 800 number and emailed him screenshots of all the people breaking the forum rules. Their accounts will be suspended. Attacking new people for no reason is "not acceptable and their accounts will be suspended." (His words, not mine)

Forum rules are pretty clear: Some examples of unreasonable messages may include the use of profanity, advertising or commercial purposes, competing web sites, or disparaging an individual, a race or religion, a company, or website. In the event that certain Forum postings are questionable, the posting will be taken down, and offenders may have their privileges removed.

Well, I am certainly glad you told the teacher. That will show us!

FFS...

Are you even old enough to smoke cigars?

And somehow your post count is still only "1".... And your profile shows that you joined ONE hour ago, but your last activity was FOUR hours ago.

I smell a rat.

I don't think you want to be too quick to believe everything that poster says.

Don't know the last time the "manager" here has been a him.

You were home schooled weren't you? You have trouble dealing with adversity, don't you? You are a 1099 contractor at a glory hole, aren't you?

No. I joined the forum and was immediately attacked, just like all the other new people who join. You've all been reported anyway. Apparently y'all can dish it out but can't take it. Typical.

So, the old timers can abuse anyone they want, anytime they want......but the instant people start dishing it back you get your tampons in a wad?

I see. Hypocritical much?

Pancakes or waffles ? I pancake snowflakes and don’t waffle at making decisions. They both suck I eat venison and eggs for breakfast
Do you like long walks on the beach ? I live in Wisconsin, have you been here? Lake Michigan is 50 degrees in dead of summer.
Daisy Mae or Ellie Mae ? People from the Midwest make fun of people who go by more than one name.
Do you like camping by the river ? In Wisconsin we shoot everything and camp by everything
Cello on or cello off ? Both, some cigars I like to marinate and age the cellos come offf
Ginger or MaryAnn ? Who would be dumb enough to get stuck on an island with now way off
David Lee or Sammy ? Cabo Wabo
Warner Oland or Sidney Toler ? I’m 42 not 92
Have you been in a Turkish prison ? Not yet
Do you like gladiator movies ? There is only one gladiator movie...
dogs or cats ? Dogs but only ones bigger than a football all the realest can be punted
Men or women ? WoMen
Wad or fold ? Neither i don’t do laundry
Sit or squat ? Stand
Do sad movies make you cry ? Why would you watch a sad movie?
Butter or margarine ? Wisconsin butter burgers baby
Pancho or Cisco ?
Cisco I don’t ride sidekick

How did my question about Hygrometers get such great scientific info then devolve into a school yard fight then evolve into a noob (ujparise)being elected to class president?
Not sure weather I should chime In to defend the bullied special needs kodiak kid or have another cigar and shrug it off. Do I pity you or beat you up?
Thanks for the schooling on Hygrometers either way.
Gonna get a caliber IV on Clint and others recommend.
Poor Kid, maybe change your name and try again?

Back on topic. This is the export I did this morning from my govee sensor in the winador. 65% Heartfelt beads, it's in the basement which stays cool year round. The down spikes are me opening the door.

Avg Temp 62.425
Avg RH 64.825

Gunner what method do you use for calibration: Salt or kit. Planning on doing a test on all mine and have used kits in the past. Saw the salt test and was like dang have I been wasting $$ on that and not cigars haha

It's good that you're going to three decimal places. Those thousandths of a percent and thousandths of a degree really make a difference in cigar condition, performance and flavor!

I use the salt, then I'll check with some boveda packs just to make sure I'm in the ball park. Think

Ok smart arse. LOL

It does though you know. Liar

Sigh, that's what the govee exports, that's what I got imported into excel and that is what I finally figured out how to graph. I was just happy to get it plotted, tweaking data comes later. d'oh!

For my part I got the Oasis caliber IV based on recommendations here. Very happy with it.
systema's and Ammodors read exactly as expected at 62rh large wooden box still reads at 59 on top shelf even with 75rh 320 gram boveda in bottom, 2) 60 gram 69 rh bovedas on lower shelf and 4) 65 rh bovedas on 2nd shelf and 5) 8 gram 62 rh bovedas on top shelf. Not overly concerned as I have fresh hand rolled by Francisco Almonte from a Christmas event on top that need to dry and age.
No thunderstorms in that box yet so hopefully I'm gonna be ok with mixed bovedas. I hate that box!

I was thinking the same thing about my pic posts. But I was informed that I need to shrink to thumbnail size than try again. Also referred to a app called picture resizer so I could do it all from my phone. Seems like I'd need to put the cigar down for too long for all that but maybe someday

Why are some folks pairing beads with Boveda? To make the Boveda last longer because they are poor?

I refuse to pay the ludicrous middleman markup on the silica beads that that one guy charges, and while you can instead use a certain kind of kitty litter which is reportedly the same substance without that guy's giant markup (yay!), I instead choose to use a different substance - dirt-cheap superabsorbent polymer crystals (see Amazon for a bulk bag of them big enough for five lifetimes for a tiny amount of money).

You soak the polymer in 50/50 to initially expand it, house it in any open-top container (glass jar formerly containing jam, whatever you have laying around, if worried about tipping and spilling just use the original lid and poke holes in it, etc.) and toss it in a container (cooler, plastic tub, etc.) with some Boveda packs. Then you periodically recharge the polymer crystals with distilled water, and rarely more 50/50 when needed, but mostly just distilled. The Bovedas do two-way supplemental "trim" of the humidity to the target, and they last FOREVER, and you never have to even touch them... they auto-recharge from the humidity from the crystals.

In a container with a good deal (e.g. a cooler), you will have to recharge with distilled water incredibly rarely (maybe once every 6 months), and with 50/50 even more ludicrously rarely, probably once every 5 years or less.

Ongoing costs - A gallon of distilled water is 99 cents at any supermarket and will last for years. A big container of 50/50 is very cheap (if you're not dumb enough to buy the high-markup middleman-branded versions) and will last probably a decade or two. Total yearly cost - so close to zero it's essentially zero. Repeat Boveda purchases after initial purchase - ZERO EVER.

It's a very nice and cheap and low-maintenance system.

No, to make the Boveda last FOREVER so that we do not BECOME continually poorer while the Boveda patent holders become richer by charging us $4 per pack for something it probably cost them 12 cents to make and that is NOT disposable, despite what they'd like you to believe.

Makes sense thanks, yea I've been re-hydrating the 8 boveda packs on rotation. Takes about 3 days
