For Jonesey.

This is about two blocks from the White House. We drove up one Sunday a couple years ago the Mustang. I spent about 15 minutes trying to decipher the signage before just giving up. Sent my wife with the friends to walk around and I just stayed with the car and had a cigar. At 2:03PM, a meter maid came over and ticketed all the cars that were backed in. She said that we need to be there at 2 and change them to parallel. If you parallel before 2, you get a ticket. If you're backed in at 2:01, you get a ticket.

Another good reason not to be in DC.

It's a pretty simple IQ test.

They put them up around DC to make sure people from the suburbs don't stay too long.

DC parking was terrible from what little I remember about it but I heard Boston is far worse.

I found SF to be much worse than DC. Got a ton of tickets in SF.
They still have the old laws in place from when people mainly drove sticks, where if your wheels aren't turned in to the curb on a hill over a 3% grade you will get a ticket. They still enforce that law. And it's hard to notice a 3% grade hill, but the parking enforcers know which ones they are.

Not to mention the every other day street cleaning that never actually happens but they'll ticket you for.

And the parking spots that are a lane at rush hour.
