can we get this info now?

is it like a list of local pedophiles that we need so we can gather in front of their homes until they move?
I'm so angry I feel like shaming my neighbors.

any way around it, Gene?
You've had decades of dealing with layers of bureaucratic fat.
I gotta get this out before I explode.

Our local hospitals have given numbers, but not names or specific locations. I agree it would be good, not only to determine possible exposure, but I want to know just how the virus arrived in some obscure locations. As others have said, I think this virus was here much longer than we think.

Nope. They fire folks for just discussing cases without names. They take hippa really really seriously. My wife's supervisor gets pissed at me when I go in there joking around about it.

Positive tests?

The past week I've been traveling around a lot throughout FL and there are literally streams of cars from NY. They're screening at the airports but the roadways are wide open and nobody is heeding the in place message.

The scenes from Clearwater Beach a few weeks ago? The spring breakers having a good time. Those weren't locals swimming!

I failed again...thought likening it to pedophile lists so we could angrily picket and harass them in front of their houses would help my pent up frustration at being locked in...

not funny, I guess.

Insurance companies and other businesses would LOVE to get your medical records, be careful what you wish for.

Gene agreed but the funny thing about hippa is it is designed and implemented to allow for that. We normally see the other side but healthcare data is being shared across platforms as never before.

When you go to the doc they have your med list prepopulated based on pharmacy records not necessarily their own. They know what has been picked up and what hasn’t. And that’s just a small easy example.

Insurance companies are already getting more than folks know and hippa allowed it not prevented it.

The part we see seems like it clamps things down but it really opened them up. Read the fine print they push out and we ignore.

And it’s not all medical industry. It’s all about data exchanges. More not less.

The rx example is not limited to scripts written by them or in their system.

The same list shows up whether I’m at the Cleveland clinic, md Anderson or KU.

You agree to it when you sign the documents.

New York City is releasing data at only the county (borough) level, which isn't particularly helpful. For example, they'll tell you the number of confirmed cases in Brooklyn, but that borough has a population larger than fifteen states.
LA County is releasing data by communities and neighborhoods, which isn't ideal, but it's a lot more informative than NYC.

it was a joke, people.

I really wasn't advocating we picket the homes of virus victims and shame them into moving like is done with pedo's.
I didn't really expect a published list of their names.

about 2 weeks ago, our county had less than 10 confirmed cases...that number is now at 107 and there have been 8 deaths...

we live in a large metropolitan area made up of four counties:

Los Angeles (1230 cases, 21 deaths)
Orange County (256, 1)
San Bernardino (54, 2)

numbers are going up, and will continue to as more testing is done...it will take a while to catch up to real time data as we continue to test, vs inflated numbers based on more tests being done after not doing much...

Robert goulet or buddy Greco would be cool too.

But I think the best person to play me would be Harry Anderson. Loved him.
