This is on hold for now.

It's that time again.

Here are the guidelines to play; please read all before posting.

Looking for a dozen players.

1. Each player will send five cigars to another player which I will randomly post.
2. Of the 5 cigars, one high end, one medium and one yard gar. The other 2 will be cigars not on cbid auctions. (Not necessarily, but good medium-high end smokes you'd be excited to receive that aren't found at deep discounts regularly here or elsewhere)
3. High end above $10, medium $9-$5, yard gar under$5 (no Gurkhas, infused, 2nds or junk)
4. The first 3 listed above will be unbanded and numbered in no particular order.
5. Twist, you must include something from your hometown or homemade, hot sauce, jams or any local treats. Edit: With the current situation, just make it a personal box. Doesn't need to be anything local/homemade etc (I couldn't get my normal maple syrup this year) but throw in some stuff that isn't a can of Pringles or a jar of Smuckers. Get something personal. I spose if pringles and smuckers is your chit, then go for it. Only thing I ask is that it's personal.
6. Once you receive your box post on thread what you received.
7. Smoke the unbanded cigars in any order and write a review of the cigar.
8. You can guess if it was the high end, medium or yard gar along with the exact cigar if you would like. But its not necessary.
9. Senders should not post what the reviewer actually smoked until all three reviews are complete.
10. Please try to smoke all three unbanded cigars in a timely manner, within a month.
If you haven’t made and trade on cbid or have questions please pm me.

This sounds like a must!
If the high ends I send don't need to be available from cbid. I would like to be lucky#13
Spoiler alert- if the high ends must be from cbid it'll be Opus X, Padrons or DE LPs as they're the only hi ends available here imo
Im thinking I can review the heck out of your stix either way

To sweeten the pot I have an employee who has a pepper farm. He makes exquisite premium organic sauces and jams so I'm ready to spank this trade #13 style.

Sells out fast at the yuppie Philly farm market but I got the inside connect. His best stuff is the Jalapeno jam and the habanero sauce called " my ****" can't promise that right now but clones are in soil now so depending on when sends are ready but i got other goodies ready to go, possibly could let go of last year's jalapeno jam depending on prickly pear jam I've heard about here

We're not doing face to face handoffs, so no.

If your concern is with getting local treats, that rule can be suspended. Throw in a handful of goodies you like, something that isn't a can of Pringles or a jar of Smuckers or some chit. Just make it personal is all we're going for.

The rules have been copy/pasted from many years past.

Just send a good cheap cigar without a band, a better cigar without a band, and an excellent cigar without a band. Then put two more better cigars in the box to pad, and some local something or other and mail it off.

Look at prior years, it's been going on a long time. This isn't a flex your might group trade. It's more about the blind reviews which are super fun to do, than it is about what you send. With that said, don't send dog chit. Send something you'd be excited about, because that's what you'll receive. Everything you send will be thoroughly scrutinized.

This is closed.

Let me get in touch with izonfire to see if he's in or not - his post is unclear.

Once that's done I'll put your numbers into a random number pairing service to get your match for this year's pass and post here.

Well it's going to depend on timing. Been pretty chaotic around here. Barely getting smokes in edgewise. Anxious
