Tequila's kinda like a pit bull. It gets a bad rep, but if you treat it with love and respect, this sweet nectar from the heavens can be a loyal and lifelong companion

AKDave wrote:
I hope you were able to choke it down. How does it compare to the Texas shaped bottle I sent? I've never tried that brand.

Dave, I could drink this any day of the week. Very smooth with some hints of caramel here and there. Not even on the first sip did it burn me.

I'll have to get back to you on the comparison. I've only taken time for the occasional beer the past couple of months, so haven't cracked that one open yet.

Republic Tequila Anejo
Dave, the Texas shaped bottle kicks much azz. Went down so nice I had to pour myself another. Thank you kindly for the introduction to this one

You mean Sauza? I like that a lot better than Cuervo. But I don't really like Cuervo, so... I guess that don't say much. Not a big tequila fan.

Yes, Sauza. Spellcheck and Sauza contributed to the error.

It was 90 with 90% humidity, so it was a sauna as well.

I used to drink tequila nearly exclusively.

A few I liked a lot were Tesoro, Centanario, el Jimidor, Cazadores, Casa Noble, Milagro Select.

Really?

Thanks for the tip. Thought it was priced too cheaply to be good. Learned that lesson with the Kirkland Bourbon.

Puro Verde reserva extra anejo, my son bought it for me for Bday and it's super smooth and tasty for sipping. I went to buy myself a bottle and found out what it costs. I can't justify spending over 80 bucks a bottle.

Monte Alban Mezcal, I know mezcal is technically different from tequila, but man I’m this is so much better than most tequilas. I love that smoky flavor. It’s about the only mezcal I’ve ever seen around here though.

Glad you liked it Dan. I bought one in Texas about five years ago and enjoyed it too. Cool looking bottle to end up with afterwards too.
