Where do you think most of Trump's and the right's frustration comes from? He wants what he's seen other's have and thinks "if only they'd let me! I could fix this world!" The leader of the 'Free World" is babbling about his ratings as the walls of Rome tumble. His supporter's double down on defending him because they'd have to admit to themselves "Uhoh! Maybe I should've thought this through.." and his detractor's can't wait to yell "I told you so!" It's race, or illegal immigration or welfare fraud or any number of little things they (and by they I mean us, we the people. Left and Right can get f*cked.) direct our attentions and frustrations towards..... that's why things are the way they are, we want those distractions so we don't have to think about the hard stuff, we just leave that to that abstract thing we call the Government... Human nature is a helluva a thing. We act as if the Government and the media aren't made up of people just like us.
It's all right there for anyone to read. On cave paintings, clay tablets, stone monoliths, in the ruins of cities and civilizations built on the bones of millions. Printed on whole forests worth of books.... But, we all know those people were barbarians! We're way smarter than those people were. None of that stuff could ever happen to us..... right? I doubt there is one person here who hasn't thought 'What the world needs is less people." Welp, the world listens..... Be careful what you wish for... It's when rhetoric becomes reality that our eyes get opened to horror.
I could go on but, you were all just saved by my wife's dumb cat. While typing this she's been flipping and flopping all over my desk purring like a maniac looking for attention. She just flipped herself off the edge of my desk and took half the stuff on my desk with her. So, now, I'm laughing too hard to be so grim. I need a beer... and less cats.
