I plead with the Right Wing members of the forum to explain to us all, nepotism aside, how on God’s green Earth a failed real estate developer should be working for the government on the pandemic.

This is your chance, you “Forever Trumpers” - show us why this is not the portrait of a self serving, bad idea.

Anyone but W.H.O. Those liars should be strung up. We should immediately defund that corrupt group then sue them. Then forgive all the debt that China holds on us and get all other nations to do the same.
Mindless media partisans are now accusing Trump of pushing Hydroxychloroquine because he owns it. Duh.

But back to Jared. If any other president chose his son in law with no experience everyone in here would freak.

In here... it’s all good

so then Jared is the perfect choice?
Got it, you're allowed to think that.
Now please explain why, as asked in the op, so the rest of us can feel confident too.

don't see the connection. Biden holds no office and Jared is a plague expert.
But if you're outraged by the zero possibility of one, then you must be outraged by the fact of this one.

Can't help with the OP as I know nothing about Jared or his skills or lack thereof. Or even what he would "work" on. Do I trust him more than WHO or even that Weezely surgeon general of ours? Most assuredly.
Ultimately my hope is in nothing governmental right, left or sideways. In God we trust.
I do find though that many times the least qualified do a better job than the most qualified. Whatever our leaders are doing pray for God to help them if you're concerned enough. Or vote for Uncle Joe he would definitely be the most "qualified" politician.
We do get the leaders we deserve so it appears to me to be a grace that we got a brutish yet businesses savy game show host who's not so bad at getting things done for the American citizens benefit. We deserve much less. just MHO.

Well, he did boost subway sales like 1378% before he got nabbed as being a pedo. That's gotta be worth something in the trumprmacht.

On topic I’d be pissed if Biden put his son in that role. But it’s ok if trump does I guess.

I'm assuming you use the same criteria when choosing your own personal surgeons? Least qualified do a better job than the most qualified.... and all that?

Ha, I did actually think of that scenario as well as many other where this doesn't apply but I was thinking more along the lines of a David and Goliath type scenario.

Why wouldn't it apply in those scenarios?

We already have a brain surgeon in charge of something - he was the guy that got lost on the debate stage.

I'm not sure what's going on, but I think Dg just agreed to use the least qualified person he can find to perform his next surgery because something something scripture.

Amazing what people will do to win an argument.

But I may have misread....

Not trying to win an argument. Happy to loose if it helps us.
Every great surgeon had to start somewhere inorder to be recognized as great. Equally a horribly failed surgeon with a record of many terrible failings could have the advantage of having learned the hard way what not to do. Somewhat off topic here so My point is merely - I don't recommend looking to government for hope. Good stuff Vic👍

Awww... you're just so damn cheerful.

I got nothing.

But maybe if you have an upcoming surgery we could run a raffle here at cbid to see who performs it? :)

Actually... cancel that idea.

TW already has a file of things he's had surgically removed from his butt. I don't want him to get any ideas.

I've assumed the same. But if I am so are my wife and BIL.

Which means all 3 of us have the mild to no symptom variety... *shrug*

I dunno... can't get tested unless I call in and say I'm sick. Weird.

Show them who's boss. Lick each and every one of the prisoners.

If they're not gonna test you, you'll take the whole damn prison down with you.

I think I'd rather die of the virus than lick any of the prisoners.

Trump is trying to keep Ivanka happy and feeling like she wisely chose a mate...if Jared can survive in those spots without too many failures...

or prove to her that she selected the wrong guy and comes home to daddy when he falls on his face...I'd wager on this side of the coin...
