Good evening from Oregon! I was supposed to report for jury duty next week, now I am free, officially. Apparently all trials have been canceled for the month of April. I have the strangest luck when it comes to jury duty......... oh well, y’all take it easy, I believe I will go fishing tomorrow.

Morning, peoples. Had our first confirmed case in one of the other gen stations. Think they'll move towards locking people in soon. Hoping I'm home when they do

How many will they lock in together? More than 10?

Overall yes. Maybe 150-200 on site, but each dept would be a dozen or so at most and they've each got various rooms and outbuildings to keep people separated. Lots of space needed to make electricity. Added bonus,, my crew maintains and operates mixed oxidant (combo of bleach and peroxide) so we can use what's not needed to treat the cooling towers for disinfectant. Still, I don't want to think about the wife's mental state if she's stuck at home alone for a couple weeks straight

They did that at our facility last week. Now we're back. There are "this area sanitized and checked by_____________ signs everywhere. Craps still dirty though. Think

It's like the "Hostess Health Cards" in Olongapo. Yep, they were clean at the time, but one drippy ****** an hour later and that cards useless.

But, we're all getting a 1k bonus (max tax rate) spread over two payments for continuing to work.

But, they're paying that to the facilities that have been on lay off since before this started too. So **** that and them.

I sent our management the video and transcript released last week by a couple of Stanford doctors. It spells out exactly how this spreads and what you have to do to prevent minimize risk. So far, silence.

It's an official email though so they can't delete it, can't say they didn't get it, and if more people get sick, and god forbid we lose anyone, that information is going to the families for their attorneys perusal.

This is ignorant. Profits over people.

Bunch of women.... when should we? I dunno? When do you wanna? Who should we do it with? I dunno you decide! No, you decide teehee!

Saturday April 11th 2020 17:00 EST. At TW's place. This will continue to happen until further notice. Or until I get bored. Or run out of beer. I wonder if I have any edibles left..... I could eat three and do my Delta impression, staring blankly into the camera for hours on end.

Pretzels only!

I remember someone saying "Someone hold a mirror up to the screen and see if he's still breathing." Didn't hit me 'til the next day. Starting laughing for no reason. My family didn't even look up.... normal day for them.

Autozone is practically giving away oil changes.

Pennzoil synthetic and STP XL filter for $34 with a mail in rebate for a $15 gift card, so about $20 per.

Changed the oil in wife's Civic, my truck, and my motorcycle this morning.

There's a couple places nearby giving free oil changes to nurses and first responders, but I have trust issues with oil change monkeys. I've lost two engines to them not putting drain plugs in, or over torquing plugs and sister in law lost one from a filter gasket being left on the block. Normally it costs me about $80 to do car and truck. Was $84 out the door for the three vehicles, and I'll get $30 credit on the mail in rebates.

Parents stopped by to drop off a few masks and respirators from farmer friends. Now I've got a decent stash for backup. Got 12 respirators and 20 masks. So far haven't needed to use my personal stock, but I like to be prepared.

Need to find a pair of chemical goggles that fit over my glasses. I have a face shield from when I had a machine shop in the garage and been using it, but it doesn't give the same protection as proper goggles. I know I have two pairs of them somewhere, but haven't found em yet. Found sealed goggles that work without glasses, but I rarely wear contacts for night shift. For some reason I can wear em all day but cant tolerate them overnight.

Ordered an oil filter for the lawn tractor this morning on Amazon.

Found an oil filter for the lawn tractor on a shelf next to motorcycle filters.

Order is marked shipped, so cant cancel it. Oh well. Got one for next year then.

Morning ya varmints. Black coffee, hard 4 mile walk, blew off the thatch in the yard and changed oil/filter in one car. I'm thinking I will let the shop do the next one as it was a biotch without a lift and only had two ramps. I'm to old for that chit. It's no danm but it'll have to do.

Trash picking is great lately!!!

EVERYONE is throwing away really nice stuff And about 85%
Of everything I find works, not broken or damaged...and sometimes brand new in the box!!!
FINDING BRAND NEW POWER TOOLS in the trash, stereos, boom boxes, 8 track amps, dual cassette players ,big AMPS ( SONY, TECHNICS, Panasonic but no speakers at all? Weird)
Telescopes, microscopes, tons of storage containers on wheels, shelving, BRASS, COPPER , copper wire no.1 and
no. 2, .....cutting 12-15 power cords off vacuums every week
Used to be 3-5 a week...
I now have 14 digital ceramic heaters with fans that have rotation settings that cost $59-$100 each NEW, ABOUT 10 WORKING FANS, SO MUCH STUFF TO SELL WHEN THIS BOOCRAP IS OVER..

My backstock MERCH IS REALLY PILING UP TOO...
METAL ALL OVER MY BACK YARD...

FREAKIN RECYCLING METAL YARDS ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC .

FOUND AN OLD ALTERNATOR in a cardboard box at a turkey Hill convienence store on ground next to the trash can...
....I took it back to AUTOZONE AND PLAYED DUMB..
." I LOST THE RECEIPT"...."YEA , IT GOES TO A 2007 MITSUBISHI GALANT ( had no clue really)"..."yea I paid cash not credit"...
Store DUMBO says..."that model is a $28.00 core charge...
I can only give you store credit"...
Me : "that's fine...with me...grin grin grin...kaaaaaaaaa
Chiiiiinnnnngggggg $28 free smackers is fine with me ..."

BWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Best 50 bucks you'll ever spend if you do your own oil changes. Holds 8 quarts and when you're done you screw on the caps and take it to the recycler for disposal. No muss, no fuss.

I'm salary with a ton of saved sick leave, so no matter how policy plays out I'm covered. But would like to see them not require people to utilize sick leave. Also would like to see added financial benefit if stuck there 24/7

If you get locked in you should be quarantined until you can show you don't pose risk when you get out.
