can't put my finger on the reason, but this was my favorite post of the old 500
seems fitting the good doctor won the race.

Rain started here Saturday and hasnโ€™t stopped. Suggesting an end to them midday Tuesday. Great extended weekend ... for ducks ๐Ÿฆ† ๐Ÿฆ† ๐Ÿฆ†.

Yeah 8, we're catching the same weather pattern except it started on Friday. About 8 inches since it started.

Hell, this is the dry time of year in Central Florida during which we often have fires. And, we are in a drout for the last few years.

Kiddie pool on the deck started with about 4" of water for the dogs to wash their feet. That was my last day off, so last Tuesday.

Its overflowing now. Its probably a 10-12" pool.

Everything is soup. Need knee high boots to get to the chicken pen.

I won't. I gained about ten pounds and my morning blood results have been a little high. Maybe he will bump me back up to two metformin instead of just one.

There are a handful of people in my neighborhood who have no ability to regulate the volume of their voices and it's slightly comical...

There's also a young couple who I'm convinced have never spoken to one another... All they do is yell... Everything they say to each other is the attempted start of an argument...

They aren't home very often, but every time they are, it's lots of yelling - and I get to hear every word perfectly...

It sucks.... They're annoying...

And the wife occasionally gets high on something and spends as much as 3 hours hand pruning a very small bush in the backyard... That part is hilarious...

You literally hear her hand pruning a bush on our fence line, she never moves from the spot she's in for hours, the clipping never stops, and she never accomplishes anything... There's nothing to accomplish! It's basically just a little ivy that hangs over the fence... I think she clips one leaf at a time....

Decided a little after noon yesterday that I wanted to go to the high Sierras for some fishing...

Only takes about 2 and a half hours to get to the lake I wanted to fish and the severe winter storm warning wasn't set to kick in until 6...

Dropped the kids off with my parents, loaded up the wife and gear and jammed up there...

Got there around 4, hiked in, each caught a trout on a lure, hiked back out and got to the car right as the rain started....

Saw a couple clusters of deer, found the gate open to my favorite lake (good info to have, public info says still closed), waved hello to the 2500 year old seqoias in McKinley grove, smoked an opus x from delta (thank you much sir), and took a nice slow drive home...

Darn near perfect day... And never got anywhere near another human other than my wife...

No, no motor yet... Thinking about buying one today but I'm still researching...

Minn Kota seems to be the standard but I've seen lots of them burn out... Thinking about a Newport...
