It's 50 degrees outside... but it's gonna be 84 later.

Buddy of mine and I are going to scope out trucks today. Looking at a Laramie RAM 4x4 with the Hemi. My buddy Lenny used to be the sales manager for the local chevy dealer, which is why I asked him to come with me.

I want the best deal on the truck and I want good $$ for my wifes car. She's taking mine. Same car but mine has sport and Nav... and 15k less miles.

MACS... Mr. Money Bags.

Within one week of retiring the dude is buying trucks, boats...

When you buy that private island and establish and independent state, can I become a citizen of MACSland? We'll have to come up some cool flag and a official sounding constitution though... Maybe we can find a template to use on the interwebs so it doesn't require a lot of time and effort.

Too bad they don't have a www.gibsontruckworld.com near you.

Did the boat people ever call you back?

Keep your cash earning and take out a loan. I just paid off my wife's Traverse loan. When we bought it our financial guy dope slapped me, nicely of course, for wanting to pay cash. I still prefer to own things, well at least as long as I pay the property taxes.

Local boat dealer has not called... yet. However, I did some pricing with the manufacturer of the Clearwater 2200 and he sent me a build sheet and a quote for what I wanted, brand new. After I pay local taxes it's basically what they asked for the one I looked at... and that includes deliver from GA.

Drawback to buying direct is I don't get a bay test, and if any warranty work needs to be done... they're in GA so I'd have to work something out. Also... they'd start this week so it would not be done for a while.

Meh... I got time to keep looking.

LMFAO!!! GOOD ONE...

I think the SSG dropped MACS from the C.A.S.H. envelope gig about 3yrs? ago ...it was a nice ride for him though ...
It paid for all his boat gas , groceries and restaurant/bar bills...and then sum...

Back..... to watching my P.E.R.I.M.E.T.E.R. for low riding grey primered vehicles w/ Mexican hitmen...over and out...

Road trip!

Might be cheaper to buy local. Not just warranty but lemon laws may not apply either. If you buy out of state Cali is probably going to charge you sales tax when you register the boat and trailer.

If it flys, flirts or floats, it pays to rent, just saying. Beer

Managed to go no more than 12 hours without an adult beverage since 4pm Thursday.

Raised the degree of difficulty today by smoking a cigar, drinking Pabst Hard Coffee, followed by a 9 mile bike ride.

I’m going to lay down over there and die.

Sounds like most of my dates.
They flirt, so I bring ‘em back to the cabin.
When I’m done with ‘em, I hurl ‘em flying into the river.
Then, in a day or two, they’re floating.

Yet, it doesn’t cost me a dime...

Made biscuits for breakfast... Took a nap... Made pizza dough for dinner... Tried the first one on the bbq but it was taking too long... So I deep fried the dough in crust form, applied sauce n toppings, and threw it under the broiler to melt everything...

By the time we finished eating those, the one on the bbq was ready to be thrown in the trash... Put a second one on with minor adjustments and it turned out great...

Put in an instacart order for s'mores fixins while the kids rode scooters... Thirty minutes later everything was here and we toasted marshmallows over the bbq coals and watched the wild kittens play in the brush pile...

Pretty great day... In a couple weeks I'm gonna have to throw those kittens over the fence, make em arby's problem...

Hello. Oppressive humidity with 2-4" of rain expected today. A bad taste of summer in Central Florida.
My mom came to visit yesterday. We socially distanced on my back porch with my wife and kids. It was a nice, short visit with her, the way I like it. My son and I went to office depot to pick up a wireless router range extender. Had to make a second trip back when we realized we didn't have the right kind for 5g. Now he can play xbox from his bed in front of his 50" new tv. Wife made homemade dough pizzas last night. Best pizza I had in a long, long time. She's supposed to cut my hair again today- man does it need it. Starting to go stir crazy...

^That was very clean. Bugler was on point.

I did a short stint on burial detail and it is always hard not to cry when that is played. God bless those who sacrificed all for this country.

Good morning everyone. Just finished working out. The family get together on Saturday went well. I bought a new project car yesterday. A 1908 Stanley Steamer K. I've never had a car this old for myself. But every time I have seen one of these I really liked it.

Sticky today.
Imagine how sticky it was for the vets of the pacific theatre. Add bugs, snake, 30 degrees hotter and the emperor’s little bastards shoot at you.

In memorial of their sacrifices, I’ll not bitch about the weather today.

Spent 2 hours plus at the RAM dealer... to no avail. The place was very, very busy (surprised me) and they were not willing to deal on pricing, even though my friend was in the biz.

I really liked the truck I looked at. 1500 Laramie 4x4 with the Hemi. Not enough to pay what they were asking, so I left.

Trucks are expensive. Especially the ones that can tow a lot. d'oh!

The Ballast Point CA Kolsch or the German Kolsch? The German Kolsch was Reissdorf IIRC.

Until you go into the store. Internet price is 42k... but ooops, you don't qualify for all the rebates (nobody does). Below average credit rebate? Nope. Farmer bureau rebate? Nope. Chrysler capital rebate for financing through us at a stupid rate? Nope. Oh... did we forget to mention you either get the rebates OR the 0% interest???

This is why people absolutely despise car buying and car dealers.

GREAT deals here too. I just traded in my leased 2018 Honda Sport for a 2020 Honda Sport. Zero money down. Payment is $68/ month LESS. Best car deal we have ever gotten and we only buy when there is a great deal.

What will the humidity be like? Will there be a breeze?
I keep tha/c at 72F during the day/68F at night. So, it's always cool in the house with low humidity.
