It's fitting this was posted on the Memorial Day 2020 weekend, a few weeks after the 50th anniversary of Sgt. Phleger's passing, as we remember all those who served and did not return.

I read the synopsis....
What a tough way to go...
As a radio man , you'd think he would have
a Colt 1911 .45 on a shoulder holster or leg holster...
Musta' been asleep and lost the pistol?
