I was born here in the US, in Los Angeles, to parents who immigrated from China before WWII. My father fought in the USAF during the War...growing up, he drove me by several shops that we were not allowed in, and several neighborhoods where we were not allowed to buy houses...

I've endured my share of hate crimes and discrimination, including being told to "go back where you came from" many times, having rocks and oranges thrown at me, being called Nip, **** and Jap in grade school...even as late as 1980-81, after my wife and I got married, we tried renting an apartment at two places in all-white parts of her hometown, and were told they had no vacancies...when I called a few days later, the manager offered to show me the apt, not realizing she had told me "no" ...I've even been told to leave by members here...

don't get me wrong, I love living here, and think America is the greatest nation in the world...I've been welcomed into very close circles in my law enforcement career, and treated as an equal...but we could be better matches to the ideals that form our foundation



Really.....................that's an attack???In my world I turn to the idiot and tell them to go **** themselves,of course I'm not well educated in snowflake.

When I was in Korea I had several young men shouting "**** Americans","Go Home White Mother **** ers"(The black dudes in this unit(two of them)laughed their ass off later,they said they'd been called a lot of things but never white).....so on and so forth.They even tossed a few rocks our way.I had no idea til today that I was being attacked.Had I known this then I suppose I should've shouldered my weapon and shot them......after all I was being attacked.

WTF happened to a little thick skin and the ability to ignore idiots?
