I wish we dropped that Bum Brady years ago to hire Cam.

Typical Patriot signing, smaht, low risk. And then I have the Chicago Bears, sigh.

I thought it was interesting when NE traded out of the 1st round in this years draft when Jordan Love was still available. Not that he’s the next Brady but certainly more talented than Stidham or Hoyer.

tough physical specimen. knows how to be a leader and the face of a franchise. That pressure won't bother him even a little.

hopefully time off has him healed. plenty of incentive to let the best coaches coach him up and cash in next year as a free agent.
I think this has been the plan for a few months now, I also think they really like Stidham...but not yet.

Might explain their draft moves.

He will give you 5 maybe 6 good games ( that might be all they play this year) before he breaks down.
Never liked him after what he did after the SB, never will.

good deal for both of them - assuming cam has recovered at least 75% from whatever was ailing him last year

man he looked awful

I'm gonna give him a chance. This all comes down to,Is he coachable? If anyone can make him it's Bill, but if Cam doesn't cooperate no one can break him quicker than Bill.

Given the AFC East, I don’t think they were ever not a contender, even without Brady. Buffalo would be their greatest challenger but they could also be a one-year wonder.

I bet an 80 year old Roman can still throw the pigskin better than most of us.

Didn’t realize he was the first Filipino-American NFL player as well as the #2 overall NFL draft pick in ‘62.

Time will show Love was vastly overrated and should’ve gone much later.

Probably true if he was drafted to be an immediate starter but since he’s gonna be sitting behind Rodgers for a few years, hopefully it helps him develop into a top QB. Time will tell.

When I was growing up, one of my Tudor electric football teams was the LA Rams with #18 as the QB/K.

Ever need proof that Jerry is a dolt?

He could've dropped Prescott and signed Cam for what NE did and had PLENTY of cap space to build a championship caliber team.

Instead he's playing games with his mediocre 1st stringer. As an Eagles fan...of course I'm thrilled.

Good point, sometimes a lot has to do with who drafts you, the coach/system and what the expectations are going in. Rodgers would probably have had much different results if he got picked by say the Browns and instantly thrown out there with no line, no weapons and no hope instead of serving an apprenticeship behind Favre.

As we all know, Alex Smith is one of the prime examples of a high draft pick with high expectations thrown into the fire too soon. Who knows how different their careers would have been had Rodgers been picked 1st and Smith by GB? Think
