Bbq'd bacon and cheddar stuffed burgers last night followed by s'moreo's followed by the city's big fireworks show, which we were able to watch from our backyard...

Mornin' dudes... pork belly has been on 2 hours and just got covered in spicy BBQ sauce and put in a covered pan for an hour to steam/render. Then they'll go back on the smoke for an hour to crisp up.

^I'm using my WSM as well. Seasoned ribeyes with salt, pepper, garlic and onion. Gonna sear them around 2pm, at momma's request. She's not a fan of pork.

Skipping the OT. Too great a risk to get floated to other units, especially on a holiday weekend when half the place calls off.

Burger, beer, n cigar sounds better anyways.

No.

Bought it on their own. We did help them with their townhouse purchase late last year though. They moved out in February so lot more peace and quiet now.

Not hard to get sunburnt when you’re a pasty Wisconsin type.

Steak and bbq beans and a fantastic potato salad with Jalapeños and bacon for dinner.

Wife and son and I had prime ribeye steaks, a greek salad, rice, and pork belly burnt ends.

I'm gonna need a really big dump before I go to the gym tomorrow. Anxious

Sure am glad I dont live in a subdivision.

Its 2230 and I'm still hearing crazy fireworks going off from all directions. Nobody in my immediate area is still out. New neighbors were the only ones I could see from here, and driving down the street back from inlaws, that were doing any fireworks. They were small, quiet music and stopped around 2130.

I'm out on the deck watching the sky flash and swatting mosquitoes. These bloodsuckers don't seem to care about bug spray, im well coated.

Back on the walker this morning. Lidocain patch right away today (RX strength). Can't be hobbling around, gotta load up the car and get on the road to NH before noon. Got on the scale and weighed in at a year or more low 232. Hope vacation isn't very fattening.

So I just realized the butchering of the English language by my use of the “folks” term. Apparently while very common for Hawaiian folks to add “folks” when they’re referring to other people, they’re not talkin’ ‘bout themselves. It’s so ingrained that us local folks don’t even think anything is wrong. Cool

Glad everyone made it safely through yesterday's holiday.

Speaking of subdivision, the one we are in was LIT when we came back from a friend's last night a little before ten. Saw my grandnephew in the middle of the cove, almost exactly in front of our driveway and there was about a five feet square of blown and soon to be blown fireworks of ALL types, LOL. I could see big mortars going off in every direction.

We were SO deep in the Country at my friend's place that we could barely hear the professional fireworks around 10 miles away (as the crow flies). We had a good time just sitting by the homemade smoker. He finally had to light a bonfire to keep the mosquitos from eating us up. Brought home some ribs and we had some while there, pretty good.

Hope ya'll had a s good a time as we did.
