Mine too . . . smoked 3 of them this past week.

My condolences to the Fuente family.

Every time I'd ever been in Sweethearts he had an Ashton VSG maduro toro working.

RIP

A HUGE reason why there is such a thing as consistency in the Cigar World today. Such a huge loss to the family, but to see them work, the kids will be all right. They learned from the best going.

You should've. He lived for that kinda stuff. Sharing and showing you behind the "curtain". You missed out.

Yeah, I think I would have waited until he took a break and just shook his hand to say thank you. I kinda did that when John McEnroe walked into a tennis pro shop I happened to be in and didn't go up to him until he started walking towards the door. Nervously asked for his autograph but he was so nice and gracious, it really changed my perception of him. But back to Z's post - hindsight is 20-20 and we all have those woulda, coulda, shoulda moments...sigh...

You must "feed a hole" in your backyard like
Whistlebritches does....(watch the movie
"Romeo is Bleeding" w/ gary Oldman)
To be able to afford staying on
NANTUCKET....
That^^^ place is "the millionaires playground of the northeast" other then Martha's vineyard and the Hamptons...

Daughter and SIL had weekend reservations, couldn't go, gave it to us as a way of thanking my wife for all the free child rearing she has provided. Stayed in a motel 1/2 mile to town, 1/2 mile to Jettys Beach, only had to spend money from da hole on food, booze, hi-speed ferry, etc. Was closer to a half mil.

It would help to have a deeper hole though, for sure Jonesy. Then we'd have been all over that island.

Just thought it was interesting that I smoke so much less now and yet felt the impulse to buy a couple of Carlos' brand.

How fitting that Carlos Fuente Sr passed away on Aug. 5 - the 8-5 connection to the very end!

Smoking one more in his memory - an Anejo 888

if only he had also made it to 85, that would be even more interesting. Need to pull out some of my favorite Fuentes in his honor.
