Long story short, I been outta the pipe and cigar game for a few years. Stupidly went back to the cigs. A few weeks ago, the idea popped into my head that I didn't wanna smoke those nasty ass things no more so I went online and ordered some Missouri Meerschaums and some Captain Black (which I liked back in the day for a cheapy and still do) and jumped on here for some suggestions. I should have known better. Of course Z pipes up (HA!) and asks for my addy. I refuse but he tells me he'll finally release CROS if I give it to him. Pretty sure that was a lie. He promised to just send a couple of samples...you can see where this is going.....all "samples" are several bowls worth.

Pipe "Samples"

Peter Stokkebye -"Luxury Twist Flake"
Rattrays - "Marlin Flake"
Davidoff -"Flake Medallions
GL Pease - "Haddo's Delight"
H&H - "Viprati"
SPC - "Mississippi River Special Reserve"
Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. - "Black & Brown"
A Custom blend Jamie found on Reddit called "Powdered Toast". Pretty sure this is what Z gives to friends who camp with him. A little afraid of this one.

Helluva hit, right? Yeah...we ain't done. There was a note that said....."In case the pipe thing don't work out for you" attached to a cigar bag. In that bag was....

A. Fuente Anejo Reserva "Extra Anejo" I'm out of practice so not sure which one. Maybe a #48?
Herrera Esteli Miami....2016. The original Limited Edition release.
VERY yellow cello old school brown Label Padron. Gotta be 10 years old at least
A. Fuente Hemingway Signature

Last but not least....a cigar that might not seem all the special and it's by far the cheapest of the lot...An Original Diablo Picante. I LOVED them back in the day and have talked about them before. Z remembered that and that means a lot to me. I'm enjoying it (a LOT) while I'm writing this.

He also sent a good looking bag of candied almonds but, like Cacman, Mrs. Jade grabbed them before I had a chance to. I'm SURE they were great..lol.

Thanks Jamie. Been a LONG time since I had the $hit kicked outta me. It might take a while but now I got your addy and your ass will be mine. Until then, you managed to do the impossible....make Jaderose speechless.

Frankie subterfuge? Moi? Hehe....no was totally straight up on this one didn’t want him thinking our arguing was any bad blood. Glad I finally got to send that Diablo where it belonged, that was way more enjoyable than smoking it ever would have been.

And you need a couple bowls worth to make sure, sometimes things taste better in a particular pipe.

Really glad you gave me the chance, someone did it for me keep that Karma evened out.

Have we argued lately? Must not have been too bad if I can't even remember it. The Diablo died a heroes death last night. It will be remembered and celebrated always.

So far, I've enjoyed them all. I accidentally inhaled a big lung full of the Haddo's that damn near killed me but all is well. The Viprati really hits me in the sweet spot. Oddly, the one that isn't quite there for me is the one I thought I would enjoy the most...the SPC Mississippi River. It's not bad , it just not quite there for me. I'm gonna let my next bowl dry a little. *shrugs* Haven't tried the Stokkebye or Ratrays yet.

The MR SR is a Oriental/English with a lot of high quality Va in it, I’m not a huge English/Oriental fan but when the mood strikes this one is an in between Va-English/Oriental IMO because of how much VA it has in it. I usually smoke straight Virginia or VaPer
