A few weeks ago I asked for some SUGGESTIONS on some pipe baccy as I was giving up the cigarettes and going back to cigars and pipes. Z and Whistlebritches answered the call....ridiculously. Z sent me a bunker buster loaded down with some very nice tobacco's and cigars that blew my house apart. Ron nuked my whole damn neighborhood. Most know fine tobacco's are sold in small quantities by the ounce or gram. The box from Texas weighed 2.7 POUNDS (not including the actual box). Sweet Jesus! I can't begin to thank Ron or Jamie for their unbelievable generosity. I figured I'd get smacked. I did count on getting the ever-lovin $hit kicked outta me. I already listed in another thread what Jamie sent. Here's what Ron sent. Settle in, fire up a bowl and enjoy...this'll take a bit....

Peter Stokkebye - Luxury Navy Flake (8 OUNCES of this fine Va/Per)

Mac Baren - Symphony (a lovely burley with hints of chocolate)

G. L. Pease - Stratford (Classic Collection) (Another fantastic Va/Per. I really like this one and Ron sent a ridiculous amount)

John Patton - Cool Hand Fluke from 2014 (40% Perique. Should be called a Per/Va. Surprisingly smooth. Like alot)

Peter Stokkebye - Burley (For Blending. Will play around with this)

Mac Baren - Golden Extra (FANTASTIC smelling burley. Will smoke when outside with the wife)

Peter Stokkebye - Luxury Bullseye Flake from 11/17. (Va/Per. Must be 40 coins of baccy in the bag. Smells REAAALY good)

The Country Squire Tobacconist - Bowser's Castle (Latakia. Have not explored Latakia based baccy's yet)

Samuel Gawith - Firedance Flake (An aromatic from 2015. Smells great. Another one for when the wife is around)

McClelland - Red and Black from 2015 (several bowls of both read and black. This is an extraordinarily generous addition. McClelland is gone. No more will be made. PLUS, it's a nice tribute to Kansas City. Thanks)

Motzek - Herbst 84 (English. This LOOKS amazing)

The Country Squire Tobacconist - Rivendell (Aromatic. Scented with chocolate and Walnuts)

Mac Baren - St. Bruno Ready Rubbed (Aromatic. Floral and Fruit essences. Smells amazing)

Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. - Happy (Brown) Bogie (Straight Virginia) Looks like a couple of long cat turds in a bag. Sorta smells like it too. Don't think I didn't catch this, Ron. This is straight up Nicotine in a bag. Looking forward to giving it a go! Prolly puke)

John Patton - Storm Front (Cigar Leaf based. What can you say...smells like a good cigar)

Solani - 633: Virginia Flake with Perique (another Va/Per. I'm LOVING the Va/Pers)

Dan Tobacco - Limerick (Treasures of Ireland) (Light Va/Per from 2013. I can see this one being very good with strong coffee)

Reiner - Blend 71: Long Golden Flake (Light Aromatic Va/Per from 2015)

Ok. That's it. That was all that was in..HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You didn't think he'd send a box without cigars did you? Yeah...He didn't.

LFD Double Ligero Corona

DE Undercrown Sungrown Corona

Don Pepin Garcia Series JJ Looks like about a toro. This sucker is old. The cello is gold.

La Flor Dominicana Colorado Oscuro Robusto (God Almighty this is a good looking cigar)

Arturo Fuente Rosado Gran Reserva Magnum R44 Sungrown

Ashton VSG Illusion

Cuesta Rey Centro Fino Sungrown Pyramid No. 9

Ok...that is truly it. Wow, Ron....just wow. I stand before you a humble and beaten man. Your generosity is overwhelming. Thank you.

Gimme some highlights, Ron. Why did you send what you sent. You and Z both guessed correctly that I'd be a big fan of the Va/Pers. They hit me just right

You seem like a vaper guy I guess........I did include a little lat, some burley and some of the better aromatics I have tried. In pipe tobacco the variety is simply amazing, something for everyone. It is important to find your niche before starting a cellar, hopefully Z and I have helped you along that path.

Enjoy my Friend

Damn that Motzek is damn near impossible to get now!

Ron is a burly fan and that’s some nice examples of them, I don’t mind a bit of burly but it reminds me too much of cigarette tobacco when it’s not giving me just the nuttiness. Definitely a good swath of variety to go through!

I had a feeling that was some pretty special stuff. It and the McClelland are the only ones he sent a reasonable amount of.
