Mowed a quarter of the yard before dark. Most of the street-visible stuff is mowed. I was gonna do the ditch but last year I did the ditch right before the leaves fell and they kept clogging the culvert. I think the overgrowth might keep em out or at least reduce them. Could still do the downstream side.

Morning all great weather here. I am having a total knee replacement today including cadaver ligaments. Basically for 40 years I have had a non functional right knee and have been fortunate to walk and run without a cane. When I was 20 I chipped and fractured my kneecap and lost my MCL and ACL. The timing is right for now.

Oh geez! Good luck with your knee replacement! My mother-in-law had both knees replaced simultaneously last year at 73 years old. She's much better off now!

There should be an ointment that can help heal your cob.

Wish I could go to the gym. I am relegated to long, fast walking, briskly walks with my wife and son. I really need to re-shed 10-15 lbs. Been gaining weight slowly now for a year since my endocrinologist reduced my Metformin by 75%. I still have to take personal responsibility, but that medicine's known side effects include a bit of weight loss maybe 4-8 lbs.

77/103 and out the door in the dark to get in a fast 5 miler on my restless legs. Now we are heading back up to the mountain house where it's 54/84. Prolly only have about one month more to enjoy before it gets too cold. Anything under 70 days is too cold for the wife to enjoy.

Good luck with the knee replacement. I'm a candidate myself but still walking without much pain as long as it's not twisting. Still playing golf but the swing is modified.

I go up and down in weight. Heck in the 16+ years I have been posting here I have been anywhere from 218 at the most to 173 at the least. 180-ish is ideal for me. Currently 200.

Gym keeps the heart and BP good, but if I want to drop any weight I need to watch what I eat. Older I get the more difficult that becomes.

Got all the grocery shopping done, went to the feed store and picked up 200lbs chicken food, three stores to get all the human feed.

Got a chicken in brine, and bought stuff to make flatbread goat cheese pizzas again. Gonna grill the chicken in another hour or so.

I should be on my way home momentarily. It went well. I am amazed this could be done as an outpatient procedure.

wishing you a full and speedy recovery...physical therapy is crucial...

had my right knee replaced 10 years ago...can't run and play tennis anymore, but I'm able to walk long distances, fish, bike and hike pain-free...
