I'm sure some of the FOGs can answer your question but I must say, for the few that I've smoked, I've liked them.

They have a particular blend and some years there doesn't seem to be as many available, they aren't always easy to find. I'm pretty sure that I have a box and another partial of the #2's.

Pepin rolls them, so there’s not that many.

It’s a side project.

My favorite CC currently. I noticed they became hard to get as well so when they show up you have to jump on them or might miss out for awhile.

Dips were never a large production cigar. They were initially started in the 60s as a milder version of Monte for the French market as that market likes a milder cigar in general. I have not had any for years but I always liked them as a morning smoke. They also used to be priced cheaper than Monte but last time I looked they were about the same price.

abrignac brought a bunch of Diplomatico #2s to the Morro Bay FishNHerf a few years ago...he handed them out while we were fishing on the boat...I personally thought they were better than a fishing cigar...I lit it and started smoking...then I hooked up, had the cigar in my mouth...ended up slobbering all over it and making it unsmokeable...

Dip 2's were known as the poor man's Monte 2... but I liked them quite a bit. Not sure why they can't be found.

I have the same question for the QdO coronas... Love those and now they can't be found.

I was a big fan of the Diplomaticos No. 1's before they were discontinued. No. 2's are also outstanding smokes. fog

For about $40 less per box I much prefer HU #2. Even if the price was the same IMO the HU is a better cigar. YMMV

The current deal on H. Uppman Connie A's is a much better buy, and I say this as someone that actually likes the Dip no. 2. Coincidentally, I had a Dip #2 last night, and it was somewhat underwhelming, I think they smoked a bit better fresher, but one example out of many in the box so take it with a grain of salt.
