you are either experiencing vitreous flashes or starting to get a retinal detachment. If it's way out at the edge of your vision and a vertically oriented line, it's probably a vitreous detachment or vitreous tugging, if it's more central and more persistent, then it could be a detachment and you need to get it checked soon cause it can get bigger at anytime, especially if it's patchy and changing. Either way you should check with your eye care professional and have it checked, to be on the safe side.

Well I finally got through to the appointment receptionist. She said the earliest appointment available was Oct 16th. I explained the symptoms and she said: "Umm........ let me check with the doctor and call you back."

Called back in a few minutes. The doctor wants to see me this afternoon. Not sure I like where this is going.

Sounds like a good part time gig. I jockeyed folks from the airport to a Scottsdale resort for awhile after I retired. Liked the driving and the clients were usually fun. Only problem was waiting to be called. Hated that part of it.

Appreciate the advice Homer. My doc says it does not look to be serious and should subside on it's own within a few weeks.

great news DED...had similar issues about a year or so ago...had flashers and floaters in my right eye...flashers were in the upper right quadrant of my vision...floaters were almost everywhere, but most pronounced directly at the focal point of my reading vision...

ophthalmologist checked it and didn't think it was serious...said things should clear in a few weeks...

flashers took about three months...most of the floaters were gone after 6 months, except the most annoying one, which affects my reading...

Starting day 3 without a cigarette. Nicotine patches seem to be working. There have been a few casualties though.... I am now a widower, my kids have barricaded themselves in the basement and they have evacuated a 10 block radius around my house. So, off to a good start I'd say!

Danm,

How’s the head?

How did you choose to disappoint the wife?

Hadn’t really considered the dinosaur anus angle.
