Anyone interested, fanduel has a free debate contest you can enter... it's just 10 questions and whoever gets the most right gets a share of the jackpot...

first link sends you to an account set up, second link sends you to the Debate contest...

kinda funny and will probably get a lot more people to watch the Debate than usual...

Starting day 3 without a cigarette. Nicotine patches seem to be working. There have been a few casualties though.... I am now a widower, my kids have barricaded themselves in the basement and they have evacuated a 10 block radius around my house. So, off to a good start I'd say!

Day 3 is a great day... day 7 feels even better... and once you hit day 21 it's just a mental game... hang in there... it's a great decision to make...

No, but I did learn about the hydraulic blasting effect of a Water-Pick can instantly remove a temporary crown. Anxious

Gene, have you seen the new way of doing crowns? They prep it, take pics of the area, then make the permanent crown all in one sitting. Takes about 2.5hrs in the chair. My dentist has done 3 of them for me that way.

Ouch!
I would think the crown/tooth had to be in bad shape/old if just a water pick was enough to dislodge the crown. But, I have no idea how powerful your water pick is and my experience with them was like 40 years ago.
Good luck with the dentist.

I have two molar implants that I am getting crowns on. My guy wants $5,250 (thankfully I have insurance). What does your dentist charge you per crown?

Getting chitfaced the night before Dr appointment wasn't a great idea. BP sky high. Doc wants me to text him my bp wice a day for a week. Probably going back on meds. Gained too much weight this year and without my racetrack weekends and camping, no hiking or biking. Been making and eating a lot of unhealthy foods too.

Making another round of grilled flatbed pizzas. Followed a naan bread recipe, rolled out the dough and grilled it on a cast iron plate. Grilled some cherry tomatoes and bell peppers. Blended them with sautéed onions, garlic, mushrooms and added basil, oregano, marjoram, fennel, rosemary and thyme. That was the sauce. Topped with spinach sautéed with olive oil, garlic and black pepper. Topped that with crumbled goat cheese and a couple balls of fresh mozzarella crumbled too.

Hangover has finally subsided. Gotta grill these things and then go get some sleep before work tonight.

Man, I could sure go for a grilled flatbed pizza, following a naan bread recipe, with rolled out dough and grilled on a cast iron plate. With grilled cherry tomatoes and bell peppers, blended with sautรฉed onions, garlic, mushrooms and added basil, oregano, marjoram, fennel, rosemary and thyme to make the sauce. Now that would really hit the spot... Mellow

The one that came off was a plastic temporary until the permanent one arrives. My dentist gets, $2,348 for each a gold crown, including the preparation work. For an implant right at $5k each unless you need some additional bone grafting to support the implant. (In worst case scenario complication the dentist has an oral surgeon buddy with a large boat payment due. d'oh! ).

I pay for everything. I figure dental insurance for people my age would have to have a very high cost for the insurance company to just break even.

Sorry to all for the dental talk, take good care of your teeth now or you'll pay ever more later.

No, but it sounds like a great idea, probably because of the investment or their volume of work doesn't make it profitable, I''ll ask though.

I really need to go to the dentist.

About 3-4 years ago they told me to make another appointment for a cavity filling. I didn't.

Now I'm pretty sure I'm facing an extraction or at least a root canal. When I went shooting every blast I felt behind my left cheekbone. Also feel a little pain when I tap my cheekbone.

Plus my front two upper teeth have grown a small gap.

PIzzas are done. Made 6 of em.. Two turned out well-done, a little blackened. Wife and I ate one of those for dinner. Was damn good. I've done this too many times, push the grill to 500+ trying to get a nice browning on the peaks of the cheeses but end up burning the breads. Gotta just stick to 400-450, but that gives inconsistent cheese browning, sometimes it works sometimes it don't. Need more practice, I've only grilled about 25 pizzas.

Not at all tired and need to get some sleep. I'd grab a couple beers and put myself to sleep but the thought makes me nauseous. Work is too soon for benadryl or nyquill guess I'll just head to bed and see what happens.

I just did not want to be in that environment any more.
